This was super easy to follow! The trickiest parts were definitely taking the grips off and making sure that I got the first circuit board you remove back in correctly. The rest of it is pretty difficult to mess up--the buttons only go in one way. My controller looks great now and still works perfectly, thank you!

Wanted to say thank you all for making the replacement side panels for the V1 Elite! I had 3 dead and useless V1 Elites (1 bought, 1 obtained as a gift, and 1 that was sent to me as a "Goodwill replacement" from Micro$oft). All 3 lasted 4-8 months before developing the same issues (Peeling grips on the side panels due to the garbo adhesive M$ used in manufacturing, and a couple of broken shoulder buttons due to garbo design). It cost $60 to buy 3 sets of side panels, but they're a remarkably close match to the originals. $20 for a Systhetix replacement bumper kit (Includes 2 bumper pieces), and I now have 3 V1 Elites that look either brand new or pretty good (One had an inner grip issue on one side that was bad enough that the grip had to be trimmed down with an Xacto, since the rubber stretches when the adhesive fails), the others just needed to be carefully re-bonded where there was some minor lifting. I spent a year and then some in limbo. The few indy shops left wouldn't touch them since they couldn't get OEM (Or for a while, any) parts. M$ wouldn't even repair a V1, I offered to pay them to repair or replace the damaged units. They weren't interested. I guess they were saving the last of their refurb stock for warranty and "Goodwill" replacements. Replacement out of warranty = "Lulz!" once the V2 came out. My request to buy the OEM parts and fix them myself was met with something akin to a "Get bent!" by M$. I mean, how dare anyone have expectations about design and manufacturing defects after stuffing $300+ into their pockets for a couple of controllers. 🤣🤣🤣 So far so good after 6 months of use on one of the repaired controllers! I'll continue to monitor the inner grip area, as a new shell with the inner grips is now $50 on Amazon, and at that point probably not worth replacement after already spending $30 on each controller to get them functional and looking pretty good again. So THANK YOU for making these much needed replacement parts. I'm amazed you were able to get the rubber grip texture and color so close to the original parts! Including the needed tools and uploading videos like this HUGE thanks and thumbs up for you on behalf of all Elite V1 owners who had problems with peeling grips on their controllers! 👍👍 (Now let the comments from the owners who used their Elites 40 hours a week for 5 years and never had an issue step forth, insisting that I must have thrown my controllers off a skyscraper, pissed on them while in a drunken stupor, doused them in gasoline and set them on fire, drop kicked them into the nearest wall and torn off the grips in a fit of rage, or otherwise abused them, since their own lack of problems conclusively proves there were no design or manufacturing issues with these units. 🙄👍😂 'Cause after all, for-profit companies are absolutely in the habit of sending out replacement units for originals that are out of (The absurdly short) warranty when they've done nothing wrong in design and manufacture. Shame it didn't save them, apparently there were more than enough pissed off V1 owners to finally get a class action lawsuit against M$ going... 😂)
Thanks for such a long comment bro, you are rich of humor and you told the truth. MS made bad Elite V1 and even worse on V2. The controllers are good but the quality just not worth the price. We are very happy to help the V1 owners out, you know we takes a lot of time on the texture and the color of the grips, just want to make it looks like the original, but with better quality :D
Finally a tutorial without needing to use soldering iron to take the controller apart. Does the battery sticker come off that easily or is it suggested to use some heat?
Welp you guys saved me. I have an Xbox one s controller and it is my favorite controller. Everything about it is perfect to me. Unfortunately while I was gaming suddenly the right bumper broke. I have the new Xbox series x controller and the elite series 2 controller but I despise both of them, as they just don't feel the same at the Xbox one s controller, the buttons are mushy and the d-pad is atrocious. The series S controller is in my opinion the best controller. Long story short, I found you guys on amazon and the specific color in this video stood out to me and I bought that exact set, as well as chrome red. (Bc I want the chrome red on the bumpers and triggers but blue/purple on the buttons) I then got a galaxy painted front plate and some purple aluminum joysticks. I think the purple/blue buttons with the galaxy faceplate will look absolutely perfect! (I didn't really save any money bc I went all out and ordered a rediculous amount of custom parts for the broken controller...) But you guys did save me from having to buy another bland generic disgusting Xbox series X controller. Especially since they no longer make the series S controller, except for the hilariously overpriced urban camo ones... (Which I think are only sold till stock runs out). I plan to keep that series S controller working till the day I die and I appreciate you guys allowing me to keep it alive and in STYLE. :) Thank You.
Glad to know your story! I personally prefer the ONE S controller to the XSX or Elite 2 controller too (but I mod it with our back buttons kit), the size of the ONE S controller is just perfect. And I'm pleased to tell you that the quality of the electronics part of the ONE S controller is really good. If you don't drop it in the water it can work like forever. The only problem is the thumbsticks, they will drift one day, but you can replace them :D
@@ExtremeRate Well, the kit came in and everything went mostly as planned!... I say mostly because I had some serious issues with the B button.... It just wouldn't depress normally and after assembling and then disassembling 3 times I figured out that the issue is the black and gray wires that lead to the right trigger vibrator somehow got in between the B button and the rubber contact to the board. drove me crazy. BUT now that that issue is solved, The controller works great and looks amazing! I'm currently telling all my gamer friends about your products so THANK YOU! also, do you guys offer a tutorial/product for replacing the thumb sticks when they fail? Mine are starting to drift but given that the only games I play with a controller are Rocket League and a few Single Player games, i'm not too worried about the sticks yet.

Thank you so much this will be very useful as I just broke 2 controllers in one day playing Elden Ring. I dropped my shock blue controller on the LB button and now its broken and jammed in. As for my grey controller the x button sometimes gets jammed in but doesnt register when I click the button. The last time I had this issue was on my first xbox one controller, I had spilled beer in it and with the dust/dirt in the controller the buttons would not make contact effectively, a simple cleaning fixed that issue hopefully thats the same issue on the grey controller and nothing too serious. As for the shock blue controller as much as I want to fix it I think it still has warranty as I literally bought it at the end of last year around christmas.
You guys should add matching thumb sticks it would really help to have a consistent setup also it would be cool if you guys also sold back plates that have grip on it like regular xbox one controllers

It depends on how does it stick. I suggest you replace the rubber pad under the ABXY buttons at the same time if your controller was heavy used. Good luck!! :D

Opened my controller to fix the A button and found the little rubber thing was missing the thing in the middle for the A button. I have no idea how it just disappeared inside my controller

@@Jetanium for me it was easier to put it together than attach the middle bit. Try looking for the button your bumbers click. Its weird to explain but you need the bumpers to go under not over a line of plastic in order to click the buttons. Sorry if that makes no sense, I hope you figure it out.
Put the bumpers first and then after your done with that put in the middle part. Try and it align it with the charger port first and then push up and connect it. That’s what i do. Hope this helps

Then there must be something wrong during the installation. The Xbox controller is very durable, it's hard to damage it when installing the buttons. So if that happens, just watch the video again and re-do the installation.
Please try to use the USB cable to test, if it can turn on in this way, then please check if the metal plates in the battery tray was installed correctly

Please check if all the parts installed correctly. Something like the battery metal plates went through to the battery tray, or something other minor faults during the installation.

I was able to peel it off using the separating tool they include in the kit.

You can just pry it off with your fingernail or the prying tool. Some of them may sit too tight but still can take off.

Do any of these parts work with the elite series 2? Obviously the dpad does not and will there be a set like this but for the elite series 2?

16:00 I can’t get this part to go. It’s the only thing holding me up.
That part was a struggle for me too, Just got to wiggle it around a bit. Once its in place make sure your bumpers still click like usual.
@@talon1802 I can get it to look good, but they don’t click. If I take the middle section off they’ll click but it won’t sit right without it, I’ve given up for the moment.
@@Jetanium for me it was easier to put it together than attach the middle bit.
Try looking for the button your bumbers click. Its weird to explain but you need the bumpers to go under not over a line of plastic in order to click the buttons.
Sorry if that makes no sense, I hope you figure it out.
Put the bumpers first and then after your done with that put in the middle part. Try and it align it with the charger port first and then push up and connect it. That’s what i do. Hope this helps

Then there must be something wrong during the installation. The Xbox controller is very durable, it's hard to damage it when installing the buttons. So if that happens, just watch the video again and re-do the installation.

The controller doesnt even turn on.i followed through everything, And the buttons dont even work. 0/10
Please check if all the parts installed correctly. Something like the battery metal plates went through to the battery tray, or something other minor faults during the installation.
