I wouldn call it beginner in my opinion. Qi Xing Quan is a core Shaolin Kung Fu Form which is a very very good self defense form. The the defense is hidden in this form. Being able doing this self defense need a lot of training for examble the Ji Xing Bu. In my training-row this is the 5. Form I gonna learn and practise.
Yes, to be able do the self defense with it, you have to do a lot of training for sure 😊
