Great video, Andrew! Yes, AVON makes a product which is mainly mineral oil for dry skin! It is called Skin So Soft, or "SSS" and it is wonderful for warding off bugs!!! Great job on the walls!!!
That Avon SSS spray really works. It's also great as a mosquito repellent and is always one of the first things packed in my suitcase when I go on holiday.

Some ideas for the house in town... Are you allowed to paint the chimney on the roof a color? It seems most of the neighboring homes have a color on the lowest 50cm of the house. I think it would be interesting for the chimney to be the same color. The blue color from the doorframe inside the house would be a great exterior accent color. However, I wonder if the municipality has regulations on the colors. I think it would be interesting, when you build the walls for the upper stairwell, to put a small glass panel between the top of the stairwell (northerly side) and the bathroom to allow exterior light in to the stairwell. BTW, I think the solution for the arrangement of these stairs is excellent. Please, take my ideas with a grain of salt as I have never remodeled a home. 😄

The finishing on the exterior of the town house is looking fantastic Andy! Stairs on the inside are nicely done too. Its a great layout. In Canada we have a line of clothing including hats and scarfs called ‘No Fly Zone’ that is very effective for all pesky bugs. It is sold through Marks Workwear. So when you start to get tired of smelling like a bounce drier sheet you should check it out 😅. Have a great weekend. I look forward to next week’s video!

I’ve used high grade top coatings in my flooring installation for years. It’s amazing the stuff made nowadays like this. I’ve even used it on my concrete driveway to repair places and it has stayed on for years- blistering hot or minus 10 degrees f.Ain’t cheap though.

The Skin-So-Soft product has been used by campers for over 40 years to repel bugs. I used it when I was in the military back in the late 70's early 80's and apparently it still works. Good to know.
Just thinking that chimney seems now very close to the roof, could be a problem with proper suction and create back air flow. Something to keep an eye on. Great work and fantastic attention to details! You know you made it when you got paparazzi!

Well it would be a hell of a lot easier with a long straight edge or spreader (I forget the name) maybe 6ft etc but the small one your using cannot bridge the undulations , get a long one and put more cement on the job will accelerate. Happy days guys
Nice update. There is an excellent remedy against flies in the open. You boil an octopus and leave the water outside. They get attracted and drown in it. Sounds disgusting but I promise it works.
The rendering finishes you're getting are perfect, as for the intruders...I'd be tempted to playback some horror movie sounds or gunshots through the camera speakers 😁stay safe 👍

Hi Andy for your fly problem use EUCALYPTUS OIL a couple of dabs on cotton wool then dab on yourself keeps them at bay.

Chimney is not in use other than conveniently handy for extractor fan outlet and bathroom fan. Interestingly the new roof is same height as original.
