    That no raise on the river when he tabled his hand is extremely wid. Glad you will not make the same mistake again

  • @tthaas
    @tthaas День тому +7

    Stop tabling your hand first when you call a bet or raise on the river. You are partly paying for the information of "what hand did my opponent have to play that way, and how does that compare to the range I put them on" and partly paying for the possibility of hiding what your range is. You're not getting information you paid for, and sometimes giving it away when you don't need to.

      @@MagikarpPoker On the plus side, it's an probably the easiest leak to plug (and, in fairness, it's not a HUGE leak, but it's a leak nonetheless).

    Great video, especially adding your analysis reflections about the hands in the moment rather than in the outro. You’re absolutely killing it with your content and quantity of videos, always improving. Keep it up!

    Nice win!! Yeah., playing 4-5 hours is definitely the key!! When I play longer, then the wind changes and you start the downswing again… good advice from aero and thx for your vlogs!!!

      For sure - most of my winning sessions are 5 hours or less. The longer I play, the higher chance I have to run into a tilting situation + more mental fatigue

    In the pocket 4s hand it is okay to slow play sometimes, after the action on the flop with a bet and caller I would bet $75 on turn and go just under or over pot for River max value

    A lot of these you have a ton of leaks.
    QThh, not going to harp too much on this, but you're just missing value if opponent has KK, JJ, 99, AA, AK, AhQx.
    JcTc, river is tough on 2 fronts. Most people are going to slowdown with all overpairs and even slowdown with sets, so you're losing to 6 combos of 77 and 4 combos for 78s (and 3 combos of 76s) but you also beat the 6 broadway flush draws that missed (AK, AQ, AJ, KQ, KJ, QJ).. yeah facing overpot size.. this seems like a fold. Turn is probably close, player dependent, but most times warrant a call here for the price. Also, you can always fold river, you don't always have to call turn / call river. And then they could always check river as well.
    QJ.. river is a check. Turn could be a check too but betting is fine. Not sure what you're getting value from and you're not bluffing here.
    66.. this should be a fold pre-flop but whatever. Flop is whatever. Turn is fold. River is fold.
    T9.. preflop is whatever, flop should be higher because I doubt if you have 66/KQ here, you'd just bet 15$ here.
    AA is wild, also just toss in 4 reds ($5) preflop instead of 3. River . yeah you already know..
    TT.. bigger raise flop like 90-100. Turn is a must bet. River is kind of close? You get snapped by 86/65, hard for opponent to have 2 pair here, and would think if opponent has 77/44 they 3-bet flop.. so ironically, post-flop, river is the best played street.
    44.. flop you can raise i guess but you wouldnt raise with gutshots (JT/QJ/QT) and you will have way more 2 pair+ (K9s/44/99) here so calling is fine. Turn sizing is ATROCIOUS. MP could have those gutshot hands and peel one (i guess) and 9x and TT-QQ/AA but you are losing so much value from KT+. Same for river sizing.

    You have got to get out of the mind set of trapping at low stakes people are going to pay you off with marginal hands and if they don’t call your raise they probably have nothing anyways. I’m a very nice person too… but poker is war and winning is the number one priority. Act like your having fun joking around… but in the back of your mind understand that your there to get ever chip you can!!!

    • @Nathan-w8y
      @Nathan-w8y День тому +1

      Almost try to incorporate massive bet sizing into game more often. If there’s 4 limps to you and you have AKo out of position in the small or big blind I personally won’t make it 18$ make it 25$ or even 30$ to 35$ if they’ll call 18$ I promise you they’ll call 25-30 as well. And stop min clicking shit if they bet 30$ and you want to raise you have to make it at least 2.5x or bigger.

    Hand #7 10s top set is absolutely dog shit. If the reason you're passive is because you're being "nice" then you'll never become profitable. No one is your friend at the table. That "nice guy" would happily take your money if the roles were reversed.

    JTs raise top pair in position...that allows you to find out where you are vs the opponent and take the lead control the narrative. You played it passively and allowed him to get stronger on later streets.....
    TT hand you raise the flop then check back the turn to allow all the draws to destroy your hand? very bad play at least you admited 😂

    • @jonathansykes4986
      @jonathansykes4986 День тому +1

      depends on the 2/5 and if it's a poker roll or life-roll.
      2/5 at aria/wynn, no.
      2/5 at bellagio, yes.
      If that's your poker bankroll. Life-roll, you need like 25k+.

    • @MagikarpPoker
      @MagikarpPoker  15 годин тому

      I'd probably buy-in 100-200 BBs for 2/5. Definitely don't wanna play max buy-in deep stack at places such as Aria / Wynn or else I'll become shark food for crushers like Aero 😂

    • @robl130
      @robl130 7 годин тому +1

      @@MagikarpPoker ha. I’d just make sure you have a distinct edge at 1/3 before moving up. Shot taking is fine once in awhile. I didn’t move up to 2/5 until I had 25 max buy ins (1000).
