Attempting to combine a wine glass and geode-style coaster into one stunning piece!
EDITOR'S NOTES:
**DO pour a layer of epoxy into the mould first. This was not the cause of the air bubble
**DO rotate the glass 360 degrees a couple of times once in the resin. I did this for the pink glass because it kept sliding. I did not move the purple one at all. Rotating the glass once in epoxy eliminates that error of the air bubble underneath! Have tested this theory with success.
**DO make sure your wine glass base fits in your mould before you start.
**There was 2 very different effects created with these glasses. The epoxy was starting to thicken quite rapidly when doing the purple glass. Depending on which effect you like best, thinner "fresher" epoxy for the look on the pink glass, epoxy that is just starting to thicken (but NOT yet "drip cup" consistency) for the look on the purple.
**DO wipe down you glass once cured, with acetone or alcohol, to remove any smudges or stray resin.
**DO dome your coasters if you need to (see those pesky purple flakes?!). Same process as usual for s coaster. Doming mats can be purchased from LBB Resin and are a game changer!

Thats exactly what I ended up doing, and I still use the glass when I'm feeling fancy so it's held up over time 😄

Maybe you could add some felt to the base/underside to cover the bubble. Would perhaps be an extra layer of non slip too

These ones aren't. Curved would make it very tricky i imagine.
