I have been crazy busy for far too long - I have certainly missed your videos! Very informative, entertaining and relaxing. As always, thank you for a job well done!!
Do you have any tips for using resin to seal the bottom side of a glass plate? Our kids are doing an art project where they are adding pastels and paper decoupage to the bottom of a glass plate. I wanted to add a layer of resin to make sure it is safe to hand wash.
You could use a quick setting one and use thin coats. I would probably leave a little space around the edges to make sure the epoxy can go around it to seal it. That sounds like fun! You would probably tape it off so when they’re decorating it there’s an edge.
Thank you for your video. Can you use a hair dryer to get the bubbles out? Do you really need a cup Turner? Can you turn with hand as you paint and let it stand up and dry?
I do t recommend a hair dryer as it’s not enough direct heat and pushes debri around more. You can hand turn if you don’t have a rotisserie. It has to stay turning by hand until the epoxy stops moving or you’ll get bumps or drips. It’s about 2 hours hand turning.
Great video! Thinking about doing this as keepsakes for my sisters wedding. How many glasses do you usually get per container of glitter. You are so right that the polyester glitter looks best but with the price I want to make sure its worth it.
Thank you for sharing your talent! Question How long after you remove the tape do you leave on the turner? I am doing stemless wine glasses and I did a practice one with epoxy and for some reason the epoxy setting in the middle of the glass suggestions? Thank you!
Depends on the epoxy but regular cure is 12 hours with a 3 day wait to ship or wrap. Faster curing epoxy (like counterculturediy.com fast set epoxy) is ready in two hours and 12.
As always, beautiful glass! How soon after applying the epoxy do you remove the tape? Also, you mentioned you didn't use mod podge to add the glitter but you used epoxy instead, do you just add the glitter to the epoxy after it's mixed or while mixing it?
It depends on your epoxy. Generally it should be removed after about 30-45 minutes. If you are using a fast set epoxy you can remove it after about 5 or 10. You want it to be tacky when you remove it so the epoxy doesn't shift much.
You have to clean it off while it’s still wet. A sponge and 100% acetone or 90% isopropyl alcohol is what I use. DIY: Prepping Glitter Tumbler and Removing Tape
Question.. Can you put epoxy or mod podge all the way up to the rim of a wine glass and then later drink out of it.. Question 2: do you recommend always hand washing your finished glasses even if you use the dishwasher safe mod podge ??
Kristen Avila Some do that. I don’t and I provide straws with my cups to be safe. It is an inert plastic once cured and it’s fda compliant for indirect/incidental contact so it’s said to be ok. Always handwash epoxy. Dishwasher safe is dishwasher safe after 30 days of curing.

Great video. Thank you for sharing. Quick question.....did you remove the tape while the epoxy was still wet? Based on the cleaning up you show, that appears to be the case but wanted to be sure.
Hey! They are hand wash only. Dishwasher usage can break down the epoxy over time and so they should be washed by hand gently with a washcloth or non-abrasive sponge. 😊
I just found your channel and love it! Quick question: why don’t you mix the epoxy in one cup? Since you measure 15mml, why not add the 2nd mixture to the first cup (to the 30mml line)? Just curious if there was some reason why that I missed in a video I haven’t watched yet. Thanks!!
I do it to make sure I get exact measurements. If I were to add the other on top of the other one there is a slight chance that the first amount wasn't exactly at the line or I overpoured and then it would be hard to match it exactly. So I do two separate cups so it is exact and if I overpour the first one I can add a little more to the second.
Do you leave the glass on the spinner to dry? As it rotating. Or can you apply epoxy to glass then set it somewhere to dry? Trying to figure out how to let them dry without it getting in even.
Be sure your cup is cleaned off of all oils and debris, I wipe with acetone and let it dry before adding epoxy. I also wear gloves when handling the cup. If your room temp is too hot it will cause the epoxy to thin and separate causing fish eyes as well.

Ok I new to doing this and I have question. If you put vinyl on the cup why wouldn’t you pull the epoxy over it so it doesn’t peel off? Or can you do it at all? Thanks in advance!

Did you do two layers of glitter? If it’s lumpy and bumpy it’s because your mod podge/epoxy used to apply the glitter wasn’t smooth or you didn’t dry brush off the excess after the first coat was dry before adding the second coat.

It needs to cure about 72 hours. Humidity or moisture can impact cure time. If it goes cloudy that usually means moisture has affected it. If it’s mixed with the proper measurements, for the right amount of time and cured long enough it shouldn’t go cloudy.
I will either use epoxy to adhere my glitter or mod podge. Sometimes if the first layer isn’t good enough and it needs another coat of glitter I will add it with mod podge for that second coat. 😊
What do you have in the opening of the glass? Also, you didn't say what you were putting in the little plastic cups. Were you putting epoxy in both cups, or was epoxy in one cup and water or something else in the other cup before you mixed them together? Thank you.
Nicole Orem when I used mod podge to apply my glitter it turned out just fine but now I have just over all been using epoxy to apply my glitter more and so going forward and especially with a wine glass it is not double walled I would recommend using the epoxy to apply my glitter rather than the mod podge and if you do use mod podge I would recommend using the dishwasher safe
How long after applying the epoxy did you pull the tape off? I know you mentioned it was a mess :) but how long do you normally wait, is it tacky or really wet?
Is there a such thing as using too much epoxy? I apply some to my wine glass and it's supper runny. I made sure I used equal parts a and b. Also any tips on getting it to dry quicker
You have to turn it. Epoxy is self leveling and will run off of you don’t turn it. A warmer room will speed up the curing but also make it more brittle if too hot. Don’t use direct heat to speed it up. Depending on the epoxy it takes 10-12 hours to cure hard enough to touch. 48-72 to fully cure.
You won't be able to get the tape off if the epoxy is cured. I wait about 30 minutes and then pull it...it depends on the epoxy type though and the temp in the room. I leave the cup on until the epoxy is cured. Usually overnight, removing it in the morning.

It needs to cure about 72 hours. Humidity or moisture can impact cure time. If it goes cloudy that usually means moisture has affected it. If it’s mixed with the proper measurements, for the right amount of time and cured long enough it shouldn’t go cloudy.
@@MinderellaCreations ok thank you I’ll try curing longer. Xx
Is it possible to paint the glass with polyurethane instead of using apoxy?
You can try that. I like the look of epoxy best, so that's what I generally use, but there are alternatives for sure.
Thank you so much for this follow up
Beautiful creations! Are they hand wash only at this point? Fearful of the glitter scratching off and I have some experience with epoxy :/ Thx
Mine are hand wash only. The glitter is completely sealed but I don’t want to compromise the epoxy by putting in dishwasher
What do you mean with using epoxy glitter, then using mosh posh glitter?
I will either use epoxy to adhere my glitter or mod podge. Sometimes if the first layer isn’t good enough and it needs another coat of glitter I will add it with mod podge for that second coat. 😊
Where do you buy all your glitter 😍
I have the places linked in my supplies videos. 😊

Your videos are fab! Could I ask how do you decide how much to sell them for?
I factor in the supplies, my time, my expertise to get a price.
How do you use appoty glitter
What do you have in the opening of the glass? Also, you didn't say what you were putting in the little plastic cups. Were you putting epoxy in both cups, or was epoxy in one cup and water or something else in the other cup before you mixed them together? Thank you.
JoJo Electrical Tape. It’s a football on a pvc pipe
@@MinderellaCreations How long do you keep the glasses on the rotisserie turner?
JoJo Anything with epoxy needs to rotate for 4-6 hours.
How do you keep the glass/football stay on the PVC pipe without sliding off?
What tape do you use please I tried electrical tape and it ripped the resin off
I use electrical tape. You want to pull it off when the epoxy is still tacky before it cures. ❤️
Can wash this after decoration. Thanks
Hand wash only. No dishwasher.
So do you recommend not using mod podge as your base for the glitter portion?
Nicole Orem when I used mod podge to apply my glitter it turned out just fine but now I have just over all been using epoxy to apply my glitter more and so going forward and especially with a wine glass it is not double walled I would recommend using the epoxy to apply my glitter rather than the mod podge and if you do use mod podge I would recommend using the dishwasher safe
How long after applying the epoxy did you pull the tape off? I know you mentioned it was a mess :) but how long do you normally wait, is it tacky or really wet?
About 45 minutes to an hour
Do you put epoxy over the vinyl too?? Can they be washed??
Depends. I have on some and not on others.
How long do you let the epoxy dry while on the turner?
6-8 hours. It’s usually hard to the touch by 10-12.
@@MinderellaCreations so you leave the turner on that whole time? Just making sure I understand❤
@@stuhlyhawk I usually do it at night and then turn it off first thing in the morning. I only leave the Turner on for 4-6 hours
Just a quick question, does the glass need to be prepped? Like sanded?
I scuffed it up with sandpaper a little.
Did you have the wine glass with initial and infinity symbol under it?
Is there a such thing as using too much epoxy? I apply some to my wine glass and it's supper runny. I made sure I used equal parts a and b. Also any tips on getting it to dry quicker
You have to turn it. Epoxy is self leveling and will run off of you don’t turn it. A warmer room will speed up the curing but also make it more brittle if too hot. Don’t use direct heat to speed it up. Depending on the epoxy it takes 10-12 hours to cure hard enough to touch. 48-72 to fully cure.
How long did you wait until you removed the tape?
I wait between 30 minutes and 45 depending on epoxy. You want it to be done moving but not started curing quite yet. Tacky
@@MinderellaCreations Thank you! I love your choice of music!
@@leighanncoleman7286 Thanks!!
Where can I find the rotisserie turning machine? The person mentioned does not have them on her page any longer
Lots of people sell them on etsy if the Glamour Tribe Customs doesn't currently have them listed. She only lists them periodically.
Ok thanks. Love your work!!!!
Do you take the tape off before the epoxy is dry? Also how long did you leave it on the turner?
You won't be able to get the tape off if the epoxy is cured. I wait about 30 minutes and then pull it...it depends on the epoxy type though and the temp in the room. I leave the cup on until the epoxy is cured. Usually overnight, removing it in the morning.
Minderella Creations thank you!
Beautiful :)
Will any heat gun work?
I prefer a torch now, but I have used several different things and they did ok.
Did you use all 20ml on the glass? I was thinking about doing a stemless, maybe two at a time. Hate to waste any epoxy...
I never really know how much I use. It depends on what the glitter soaks up.
Gorgeous!
Thanks!
Where do you get the motor for the turner? She says it does not come with the purchase on Etsy.
grahamteja Amazon is where I got mine.
Do you have to use a turner?
You have to turn it somehow. Either manually or on a rotisserie
Where did u order your logo stckers??? The ones u seal in the bottom of your tumblers

Can you seal paper with the epoxy or you sticker are vinil?
Jessica Valentin Regular paper no, you can use waterslide, stickers, vinyl, etc
I love it. is the glass dishwasher safe? :D
Not dishwasher safe. Hand wash only.
How do you feel about Triple Thick Gloss Glaze? Will it hold up close to epoxy?
See Marie yes, many use the triple thick spray
Minderella Creations thank you
how long did it take the epoxy to dry?
Epoxy cures. It doesn’t actually dry. It takes about 8-12 hours to become hard to the touch. 72 hours to be cured enough to ship. It takes 30 days to fully cure.
@@MinderellaCreations okay thank you
