  • Today we compare two of the best and largest Mini Leds out there. We have the Sony X95L VS the Hisense UX both at 85" . The Sony is perhaps the best Led display ever produced by the legendary company and the Hisense is bringing their absolute best to compete. I hope you enjoy and thank you for watching!

Thanks Brian! Is it possible to get a side by side comparison between the X95L vs A95L? I like the size conversation because thats what I want but, I think there's a sweet spot. OLED to mini-Led isn't a conversation until you get to 80 inches then I think it gets interesting. 🤔

@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I’d love to see that. Vincent compared the 65 inch X95L to the G3 and he showed massive blooming in subtitles in the dark but they were so visible that I assumed he just exposed them on the camera as I see you and FOMO often do so it’s hard to tell if they are visible and how visible. That’s important because the Oleds’s favorite battlefield grounds are dark rooms. Other than that, the G3 looked as the X95L even in a dark room which makes sense as the X95L was so close to the reference monitor. In fact, the X95L showed detail that was crushed by the G3 in the background (like the infamous missing closet in one of the tests).
I would love to see what happens in a room with 50-100lux, not totally dark. Does the OLED retain its advantage or does the X95L with its record contrast for a LED match it? And then in a normally lit room, who wins there? The A95L is capable of impressive highlights in localized areas like cities at night but how good is the x95L?
Subtitles are also very important since they are always on for many people.

For me, the most important thing about a TV is that it has the best possible UPSCALING and DETAIL display, everything else is not important to me at all. For now, SONY is still the king in the field of UPSCALING, so I would always prefer their TVs, especially because there are many comments that, for example, TCL TVs break down and Hisense here in Europe has worse models than those in America. The Sony X95L is definitely the best LCD or MiniLed TV, but the price is a bit too high, so I would be satisfied with the X90L as well, because I don't need that extra panel lighting, especially since I don't watch any 4K HDR content. For me, everything still revolves only in HD SDR content quality. I thought that TCL was better than it appears in reality, but it seems that Hisense is a better TV, at least as far as how long it works flawlessly.

The UX would be impressive if it cost $1k less than the X95L. If you’re charging more than Sony you need to blow them out of the water full stop.
90% of the content people watch is low bitrate SDR where Sony absolutely destroys Hisense.

The Hisense UX is now priced around $4500 here in Mexico. the price dropped about $500 over the last week or so. I suspect that it will drop everywhere else. I also expect the UX will drop a bit more in November for Buen Fin which is like Black Friday.
It would be nice if these comparisons would also compare what most people use....streaming content at different resolutions. Otherwise, everything about processing is just speculative and generalized assumptions.

Next year Hisense have UXN. 6,000 nits and 5,000 zones. But that might only come to China first. They seem to delay these flagships a year over here in NA. I think that should change.

It's a great question. It's simply bright enough, especially since most content won't exceed 1000 nits. I personally like brighter tv's but not at the cost of blooming.

      100% agree.
      It’s like buying a $100K KIA coupe over a $95K Porsche 911.
If you buy a $5K Hisense over a $4.5K Sony you will end up regretting it. I guarantee it.

what about reliability, my chinese electronics have very bad reliability with most starting to fail at only 6 months. No chinese TV yet, are they better?

We see in few years… so you can only buy tuo there years Old TV-sets where you know if they are good in long run or not…
In reality you can just either trust or not to trust, because the info comes too Late to affect the choise.

Looks like Hisense has stepped up their game, but it definitely looks like the X95L is MUCH better than the UX. The Hisense looks almost as good with 4K material but the quality, detail, upscaling, clarity, sharpness, and motion and even cheaper price blows the Hisense off the planet in this shootout. Keep it up Hisense and maybe in 5 to 10 more years you might be able to play with the "Big Boys". Sony X95L is easily the better of the 2 TVs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but that is acurate. The hisense was just too saturated. You can put livecolor on the sony to make it even more saturated but this is not accurate. Also the sony was put in warm colortemperature not in expert1 or 2 wich are d65 and accurate

That’s whats suppose to . Under the sun, we see white as white but they are lol sort of yellow. The Sony is know to have weird cool tone. Their white is never very normal cozy whtie, but always Blue or magenta tinted. This is actually mild. If see their A80L omg so sever.

Yes dude, it's a high-end tv released in late 2022 and it still the best mini led on the market until 2024. The od5 technology increased the contrast level so much without speaking about the brightness of a mini led it is a game changer . Enjoy mate
