Clarifying, Mike didin't have the Prision Realm during the fight with Gojo, the thing is that the original plan was to use the Prision Realm to seal Gojo, but Mike wanted the Prision Realm for himself, so last episode he offered to the Scar guy that he would kill Gojo himself and in exchange Scar would give him the Prision Realm.

Just to clarify on Gojo’s domain: Infinite Void. It is indeed a ‘place’, as Gojo describes. Just imagine it sort of like an “area of an effect”. Anyone inside the domain will automatically get hit by the Cursed Technique, Jogo’s (Volcanno Head) attack did not hit due to Gojo using his own cursed energy (like we saw in the previous episode) to parry the hit.
