  • When I ordered feeder insects this summer, the company accidentally sent me an anole, too! This story is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This is definitely a different video than what I normally make, but I felt it was necessary.

I absolutely love anoles. They are such amazing little lizards and catching them in the wild is what made me fall in love with them. I'm so sorry that he ended up not making it. I'm glad he got to live his last few months with you getting plenty of yummy bugs! R.I.P. little Sherman!

Thank you! They’re really amazing creatures. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to care for him, even if the time was short.

You made the most out of an odd mishap, and gave the little guy a comfortable life. It's unfortunate he passed suddenly but it's comforting to know he was under the care of someone who went out of their way to buy equipment and ask for help from others in order to provide the best living setup for him. Thanks for sharing Sherman's story. ❤

You couldn’t have given him a better life. But this is a great video. I love how you don’t hide the truth about reptile keeping and how it’s not always fun and easy.

@@HunterHouck You're welcome! I rescued several animals too and i think that this is the way to go.
My dogs and cats are al rescue , and so are my turtles. I would never buy a pet anymore, there are so much in need of a good home.
      Greetings from a Dutch Limburger!

Bless you for giving that little guy a much better end of life story than he would have had. I've had feeder mice become accidental pets, but never a lizard! And hey, now you know how cute they are, are you can get one on purpose!

At Puerto Rico we have many anoles around the houses and sometimes we take cae of them even than they do not need our help. We call them "lagartijos". They are great reptiles.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to Sherman, but at the same time, you gave him the best life he could've had for the short time he had left. Almost seems like fate decided to give him another chance and sent him to you. The fact that you gave him the same care and attention you'd give any pet lizard, despite him being a feeder, also speaks volumes to your commitment to proper reptile care. Rest in peace, Sherman 🦎💚
