Can you please do a video explaining the different modules in radiography which ones you found challenging and the ones you found easy during your varsity time🙏
I really enjoy watching your videos (mostly about Radiography), I find them very helpful. I'm also applying for a hospital, and hoping for the best. We appreciate it Theo 😍🙏🏼
Hey Mhlengi No, you need to send an application email to the accredited hospitals and they'll get back to you requesting all the relevant documents they need in order for you to be considered for a placement. They'll then contact you for an interview if you are on their shortlist
Hey Theo, I've applied for radiography with poor grade 11 results and i didn't get a provisional acceptance although i really improved this year, so does that mean i don't stand a chance of being accepted even though my results might come out meeting the requirements.?
Hey sis Theo I've been selected provincial but they didn't send the list of the hospital n I want to go and do the observation but I don't have the list
Hi Theo. All Radiography training institutions in SA are offering 4 years full time degree. NQF level 8(honours degree). National diplomas and Btech are phased out. Currently there is no university in SA that is offering these qualifications.
Theo, I had you talking about "department of health bursaries", if I may ask, for example the situation I'm onto now is that:I'm currently funded by NSFAS for now but I'm planning to change a varsity and the course I'm currently doing since last year I had no clue for hospital applications and stuff, Which bursary would you recommend for me to apply for if I'm about to do Radiography at UJ?
Hi dear. I am currently upgrading my matric marks so does this mean that I will only be able to get a response next year. I applied for radiography and sonographer at uj
Hi. Your application should be treated the same way they treat matric students applications. You should receive conditional acceptance letter and full acceptance will be after the results
Hi. The bio the require is the same as a motivation letter. for your motivational letter, you can divide it into 3 sections 1. Introduction •Your names and all •Why you’re writing the letter •Educational background •Your strengths and weaknesses 2. Why you’d like to practice in that hospital 3. You’re looking forward to hearing from them If you’ve watched the interview tips video, you can structure it the way I did in the video
Hey theo ... since am staying in kzn is there any possible way I could do my observation from one of the hospitals there and get the forms signed by the doctor in kzn... or it is compulsory for me to do it in Johannesburg... and can I do them in December since am now in a different institution at cape town
Hey Theo, thank you for this content; it is helpful. But I have a question: Is it possible that even if you've been invited to an interview, you don't receive the response indicating whether you have passed it?
Thank you 🙏🏾 It is possible. Some institutions will tell you that if you don’t hear from them in a specific period, your interview would have been unsuccessful

hey Theo all i want to know is that are you required to get a training hospital before they accept you or for acceptance they only need the observation proof?
Okay thanks I applied to do ultrasound, do I apply in the same hospital for radiography or there are ones for specifically for ultrasound students? Also..how exactly do I apply for a training centre, do I call the hospital or something
Good day. Just wanted to know if I am upgrading my matric results this year and I received a letter from uj stating that says I am upgrading, will the hospitals even consider my application? Thank you
Hi Theo, I applied for MLS at UJ but i actually want to do Diagnostic Radiography😪 and i do meet the minimum requirements. So if it happens that i manage to get in,would it be possible to change the course to B.rad on the first year?
Changing to radiography in the beginning of the year will be a bit challenging and tricky because there’s a lot of preparing that happens before admission. You might not get a training hospital in the beginning of the year since most (if not all) of them would be full.
Hey Theo ,so which bursaries can u recommend for radiography ,m already using nsfas n want to change to rad......And what would you recommend one to do nursing or radiography with respect to employment opportunities in SA
You can use the department of health bursary. I am not too sure about job opportunities in nursing but I know for sure that nursing professionals are usually the largest group in a hospital/ clinic working environment so they probably have more posts available but I’d advise you to do a little bit of research on that before concluding
Hey Miss Theo. I am currently in Grade 12, and I have been conditionally accepted at UJ for diagnostic radiography. And I have just recently sent emails to two hospitals for observation and both training. I WANTED to ask if I could do the observation first at the hospital, if they allow me, and thereafter apply for training because you did mention that they need your grade 12 term 3 results, and I haven't written my Prelims yet. Thanks
@@theodamari Thank you for your insight, and your videos. Is it too late for me to find a training centre and go for observation now? And also, how long does it take for the hospitals to respond to your emails? For the observation, that is.
@@theodamari I'm so sorry for bombarding you with all these questions. I would also like to ask when you did your observation and around which months did you do the interview. Thank you.
It’s not too late. You don’t have to wait for response before you go to observe because it might take a very long while. You can just go to any hospital as soon as you can
@@theodamari then if i may ask how am i going to apply for a training centre coz someone said i must attach that form signed by radiographer if i didnt do so they will never accept me am worried coz im not even in Gautng n all these hospitals are in GAuteng...........plzzz help
Hey Theo may I ask if it advisable to tell ties and say you have never studied at another university before? Because many people say they were rejected by hospitals because of that
All the mentioned and related videos are in the description box 😊

Hey Theo, when do the interviews usually take place?
hey Theo does UJ consider Bsc results of 1 year when applying
If I am living in limpopo can I observe in the hospitals here. Then for training I do it at the list of hospitals UJ has sent me
Yes, you can do it that way
Yhuuuu it has been long, but I’m back to the family 🙈

I only know of Department of health. Private hospitals can also sponsor your studies, they have their own terms and a contract that you get into

Yes, definitely. You can 😊

do you think it’s hard to get in the cathlab department as young radiographers?
It’s not hard. You just need to be working in a hospital that has cathlab so you can get easy access to training

You can observe anywhere, you only need to apply for training in the gauteng hospitals
Do I stand a chance with Level 5 in math?
The training center part? Does it have to be in Jo’burg? If yes, is there a list that I should choose from?
Yes. You stand a chance with level 5. And the university will send you a list of hospitals to choose from

Yes. You have to train in joburg since you’ll be studying in joburg
