FLO Error Code and Circulation pump was extremely hot. I tracked the problem down to the motor. I thought to get a new one, then read up on capacitor replacement. The motor would get power, hum, and get extremely hot - Turns out it was a $3 capacitor replacement! Saved money, and aggravation of draining and replacing the motor.

The pandemic quarantine was upon me; perfect time to swim in my Endless Pool Swim Spa...but the control flashed FLO
And the warmth evaporated. Cleaning the filter did not work as previously, oh my. Thank you for giving me permission to evaluate the filter itself as the culprit by removing it during operation. Bingo! Amazon will deliver my new filter in 4 days (their new best shipping duration). Surely, now I will be swimming before the quarantine is lifted. Thank you for your digital service call!

So, I have a Sundance Peyton model hot tub which was purchased new in 2012. I replaced the flow sensor before I filled it up a week or so ago, which can only be done on this model by totally draining the water. I thought that fixed my problem until today. I was in the hot tub and heard a humming noise and then noticed a code FL-1 again. I kicked on the second phase of the pump and it fixed the problem temporarily. What else can I do to fix this short of draining the water and trying another sensor?

I’m new to hot tubs, I just got a house with a Sundance hot tub. I removed the water and filter and start putting water back in and got the fl1 message. Why? Are there any steps that I did wrong ? Perhaps turn off the breaker first before dumping and putting back water ? Putting the house in a particular area ? I don’t get it

Pr9bably have an airlock. After you completely fill the hot tub, (with the power off) go and slowly unscrew the fitting on the outlet portion of the pump, you may hear some air hiss out. Once water starts seeping and the hissing stops, close it up and turn on the hot tub. If you still have the flow error, power off, remove the filter and then power back on and see if that is the issue.

I"ve owned 2 Jacuzzi and 2 Sundance spas about 5-7 years each and have had no major problems. They are one of the best spa manufacturers in business!!
