great tips....did the screwdiver test and code went off....after taking wires off and following back to Flow switch, I found the wires had corroded right off the top of the switch...there was a clear plastic cover over the wires and top of switch that prevented me from seeing the corroded ends....obviously, I found the problem...SCREWDRIVER TIP WAS THE TRICK THOUGH...thanks...PS, I have the J-325 model 2014

Then you say the next test will be live-put the screw driver in, but then it says to turn the breaker on again. But it's supposed to already be on? If you wouldn't mind clarifying I'd greatly appreciate it!!!
hello, I am in France and owner of a j335 jacuzzi from 2015. I have an FL1 code. the massage pumps work but the circulation pump does not. the fuses are ok. Should the circulation pump be replaced? thanking you for your help.
FL1 code is there because the circ. pump isnt working. If the fuse is good, then you could test the volts where the circ pump plugs to the circuit board or just replace that circ pump.
... with the unit flashing "FL 1", should there be voltage to the pumps? i presume there would, at least to the low speed pump. that being the case, if there is NOT voltage to either the low or high flow pump, then would it suggest that the control board needs replaced? (also, note that if this logic is correct, then it's potentially dangerous to short the flow switch for extended periods, because if there really is no flow then the heater would turn on without flow and overheat)
Flow switch or pressure switch are low voltage and have no amps. It's the amps the kill ya. That's why cows don't get killed by an electric fence. As for testing the pump. If you're not confident call a professional.
Yep. Any FL code will at some point shut the heat off. If it's on/off sort of thing happening, this is telling me it's going to be the filters or flow switch/pressure switch (whatever one you might have.)
I had a hot tub installed and then had fl1 error code. The electrician had accidentally left 1 side of the wiring unhooked so only had 115v at the tub.

Would this also cause my heater to intermittently kick on/off? I have this FL1 error but also my tub will not get up to temp

I always drain below the sensor to replace.
