Sorry buddy, as per awaiting a new camera mount it’s hard to do a job with 2 hands and hold a camera. I do plenty of these so I’ll make sure I will on the next one for you
Hi , great video . Do you have a link for the timing tool ? I need to do a job like this on I20 1.2 petrol 2013 , but can’t find anywhere a timing tool kit ? Thanks in advance

Bro please make new video how to replace the HLAs/lash adjusters without removing the timing cover for the same car i20. The HLAs in my i20 needs to be replaced. But company told me they have to removed the timing cover After that, only the HLAs will be removed. Please make new video how to remove HLAs with out removing timing cover.
Sorry buddy but on this model they are correct, timing cover, chain and cams would have to be removed to replace the HLA. You can risk undoing the cams without removing the chain and cover but that could result in further damage
@@owensautotips last time, I went to company workshop due to some noises kar...kar...kar.... etc coming from the left side engine. The noises are just intermittently occuring. It's very very rare. It's happens when engine is at idle. Only 64000 km running. They said it's timing chain, and at the time of removing the timing cover, there's no issues with timing chain system. They further points that HLAs needs to be replaced. However, parts are not available and it might take 40 days to get them. So, they just replaced the whole timing kit including adjusters, guides etc. But still issue is not solved. Spend about 12k rs including labour. So I'm asking if HLAs could be replaced without removing the timing cover because I have to spend huge money on labour charges. I'm totally at loss now 😭😭😭
@@owensautotips also I have seen several UA-cam videos belonging to same engine design of Hyundai, but not exactly same car, showing how to remove HLAs without removing timing cover.
Im glad i subbed here , my timing chain on the 2010 i10 is rattling fair style , and its bieng done next week it done 80.5K miles so yea is there much difference between i10 and i20 ?? Thanks bro so happy to have met you 🙂
Got it removed. But the timing marks don't line up after two rotation its off by 4, each time color marking dont line up on any of them 😅 thanks for great vid by the way
@Danne05 if you are going by the chain timing marks it can take a few turns… Make sure the no1 piston is at tdc the the crank mark should be correct. Then the cams will need adjusting to the two lines facing each other

I have no idea tbh with you buddy, I’ve always replaced for what is originally on there
How much would that cost to replace the timing
Under £200 for parts then a couple of hours labour depending on what the garage charges
About 12000 rs for complete timing kit. I have done the same in my i20 2011 petrol.
Good day.
Whats the torque specs for the cylinder head bolts?
Would need specific engine data or vin number to give out correct torque specs

@alinaa123 we don’t use a timing tool ourselves. Literally just the case of lining up the two cams with the lines and then the crank with the mark
