    About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

I gotta say, the editing on these daily vlogs are really good. most people just kind of stich a few clips together and call it a day. But then you guys do it and you throw in the B-Roll, the outtakes, the sweet drone footage, andthe music. You guys put the effort into it! Certainly makes for great entertainment.

Hello Jack and Megan I had a 1hz landcruiser and the injector pump started leaking, turns out the diesel that we use now doesnt agree with the seals in the older pumps, so had a new updated seal kit put through the pump and no more problems, hope this helps

I don't post comments very often, but I've been watching your videos for almost 2 years. I like to put on your videos on my days off and just let them play. I live in Alaska and I would love to visit Australia some day. I really love how your videos have evolved and they now show more of the challenges and joys of daily life. As a person who will probably never actually get to visit Australia, this gives me a glimpse into real life. I very much enjoy it and the company you provide. Your joy, your honesty, your struggles, they're quite lovely.
Also, don't drink unfiltered water- you risk a gut infection that can really mess you up, even if the water tastes wonderful and appears clean. They sell small, inexpensive filters for water bottles to avoid troubles.
Happy travels and thank you for sharing.

The Diesle leak maybe just the feed or return line but if not there are service plugs on the side of the pump that have o’rings that can be replaced this is a very cheep fix or you may need to overhaul the injector pump but this is quite pricey but this is something you will only need to do once every 400,000 kms or so, love you videos guys 😊

Hi Jack and Megan ... re your fuel leak, there is a small lever on the top plate of the fuel pump that has an O ring in it. It is not uncommon for these to leak. Need to remove the top plate to replace the O ring and as someone else mentioned the fuel pump needs to come off to replace the ones on the side. Give it a degrease to see where it is coming from. Good luck.

I had the same issue with my Troopy. Fixed by way of an exchange fuel pump $3000 + $600 deposit on return of old fuel pump plus my mechanics bill who also suggested replacement Timing Belt and Tensioning pully as all needs to come off when replacing the fuel pump. A costly but worthwhile excercise.

Probably just the return to the pump from the injectors which is a little rubber hose which perish. Either that or the seal where the throttle pivot goes into the top of the pump. Not so easy to fix but not a massive job either. Good luck.

Hay Jack you might need to get someone to have a look at your Troopy injector pump as mine did the same thing over a period of time until it started leaking badly ... it is most likely the o-rings on the side of your pump which are quite cheep but if it is on the side that faces your engine block ( high pressure side ) the pump needs to come off for that. If you have noticed some power lose & fuel economy not as grate as it use to be it is most likely the high side o-rings that have gone, maybe someone in the area you are in can recommend a good diesel pump & injector place if there got the right tools they can have it done in a few hours.

Hi Jack and Megan, Re your diesel leak. I have a 1HZ troopy had it for years and just had the same problem. It is quite a common problem and the pump will require seald done. Best to get it done professionally as the pump should come off and be done in a clean environment as if the external seal is leaking then the seal on the timing belt end is probably not far off leaking. It really is a job for a specialist. Hope this helps. I enjoy your show. Happy travels. Regards Greg

Thankfully we still enjoy all sides of it so don’t really feel stressed about it, just want to make it as enjoyable for the viewer as possible. loved it guys, what happened with the fuel leak??? I have the same motor but never experienced that issue after nearly 400k kilometers.......
touring & camping is a bit like a box of chocolates - you never know what's around the corner and looks like you found a little gem of a camp site - sort of reminds me of the Murry River along the NSW & Vic boarder. That dinner looked perfic, how did it end up? I do similar with a big chunk of chuck and whatever left over veg I have slow cooked in the oven and it never misses being delish. 👍🥩😋

Hey Steve, thanks for watching mate! Yeah haven’t figured out the leak yet it’s a very slow on someone mentioned it could be an o ring which is easily replaced haven’t worried to much about it yet it seems to be in and of very weird! Still getting about 600km to our 90litre tanks is that around what you get as well?

    • @steve-deltasdad3906
      @steve-deltasdad3906 2 роки тому

Hi mate, yeah just keep an eye on it and maybe get it seen too once you hit a bigger town, you will prob tell by your milage per tank if it's getting any worse, ummmm 600k is okish - not sure what weight you have on board, I consistently get 1440km per 150lt (I don't run both tanks dry) around town and hwy.

Turned out brilliant sorry we didn’t show it 😅 we were very hungry by the time it was done. It didn’t look to appetising either 😂😂

your boring is not boring and daily vlog is good to watch. not a huge fan of channels that change to a more unnatural commercial style video so your change is a welcome change. Not that anything you have done in the past is not good, it just means more of your content can be enjoyed now.
