Awesome video man! Criterion definitely is a good label is you want to stretch yourself with film. One thing I love about them is their classic movies they have in their collection from the 30s and 40’s. Two movies that I absolutely love from that time that I watched for the first time because of Criterion is The Roaring 20’s and The Uninvited. Highly recommend those two!

@@the_movie_den Thanks brother! Speaking of 30s and 40s I actually saw the movie Vampyr and thought it was so good! I’ll definitely be checking out your recommendations.

The Seventh Seal is directed by Ingmar Bergman. One of my all time favorite directors, all of his work is worth checking out. Criterion offers a streaming service, $10.99 a month, where most of the collection can be watched plus some other great films and documentaries. Great way to figure out if a film is worth buying and to expand your film knowledge. Keep up your film journey! enjoy. I envy you! My first Criterion film was The Seven Samurai directed by Akira Kurosawa - one of my favorites.

@@JAF729 The seventh seal was so damn god! Can’t wait to pick it up during the next sale. I’ll Definitely be diving into more of Ingmar’s work. And had no idea the service was only $10.99 that’s honestly a steal for the amount of quality films. I’ll definitely be looking more into that as well. Thank you for the info and excited for what comes next. I’ve already seen Vampyr, and Ikiru which I loved. Heard great things about The seven samurai and will add it to my watch list.

Man I think we all had the same Criterion journey! I once thought those prices were crazy, until they weren’t. Everyone had that one movie that just gets us. You nailed the sentiment. There is a huge difference in movie watchers & film fans. My Criterion recommendation would be Alfred Hitchcock’s The Lady Vanishes from 1938, Frank Capra’s Arsenic and Old Lace from 1944, David Fincher’s The Game from 1997, & Franco Zeffirelli’s Romeo and Juliet starring the late Olivia Hussey from 1968. Of course if you don’t have them already all high recommends from me. Excellent video brother.

@@80sMadeConsumer man thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Feels good when a fellow creator gives the thumbs up. I’ll definitely be checking out your recommendations. I don’t think I’ve seen any of those films to be honest so looking forward to it. It’s crazy how much I’ve been missing out this whole time.

@ yeah man no problem, it was a really good video. Definitely resonated with me. Wasn’t sure what you’d be into, and I have an eclectic taste in movies. I figured this would be a good start.

look any the beautiful death of field! very nice stand alone set up bro.
Criterion has a lot of great titles. It will definitely get you into older classics in the best versions possible. I need to get that Before Trilogy set! I still have very few Criterions in the collection. Fun Fact about Badlands, the famous theme song from True Romance originated in Badlands. listen to it, its the same song lol

@@thelastmoviestanding thanks dude!! There’s definitely inspiration coming from your channel haha. Little by little tweaking things to get the channel just right. And man that Before trilogy is beautiful. I know you’re going to appreciate it. And I remember you mentioning the badlands theme song a while back! I still have to finally watch True Romance.
