Hello Abbie, I'd just like to say what a delight it is to find content like yours on You Tube, I personally am very happy to find someone I can relate to. Fantastic work, keep it up and Thank You very much.
That was lovely Abbie - thank you for taking me along. Lynmouth is one of my favourite places. I've been there many times and have walked the paths you went on. A superb film. Great scenery. Fantastic wild water too. Look after your stick.
Abbie you have the most gorgeous smile and anyone who loves the countryside of the UK would want to follow you and listen to your love of our United Kingdom . Duncan once upon coming from Scotland now from Queensland Australia since 64, love your videos your smile is in a league of it's own .Duncan Pitkeathly.
I have only recently found your channel and made my way through your vlogs, and i have to say, ”What a joy and an escape for the soul.” It is great to see you getting back on your feet, and doing what you obviously love best; with the passion, enthusiasm and honesty that emanates from your very core. Walking is something that does not cost the earth, but brings so many benefits to the mind, body and soul; there is so much beauty around us, if we only take the time to open our eyes. Best foot forward.
What a fantastic video of a quite outstanding walk which i have had the pleasure of doing myself, like yourself i am also in complete awe of Exmoor and all it has to offer ,please continue to post these videos and hopefully our paths will cross on the Moor one day ,All the best and take care .
This video was a wonderful escapism Abbie! There were so many surprises in this walk too; from the sea mist, to the fires, and the swing! You were certainly braver than me to try that out! 🍂🍃 Thanks for taking us along. That campfire at the end looks so inviting too! 🔥
Exmoor is truly a slice of heaven.🥰 Such stunning views, waterfalls, streams, and charming villages. Truly thankful to you for sharing your journey. It brings me great pleasure watching you enjoy these wonderful walks. Thank you so much, Abbie!🏞🌳🐦☀️🇬🇧❤
Your dismount from that swing was hilarious to watch and worth the whole walk, loved it...keep getting out there and keep walking forward - we love watching you and following along on an OS map and planning our walks, thank you.
Love ya, Abbie! I live in Atlanta and found/subscribed to your channel and I am hooked! You are an inspiration and I am coming to England this Autumn and I have every intention of hiking one of your trails. You rock, girl! Sean
Oh Abbie I’ve been laughing the whole way through. Singing away, slipping & sliding down the hill there after mr stick 😂. Beautiful walk & landscape. Thank you for bringing me long & making me chuckle. ATB Andy
Hi Abbie, thanks for taking us along with you. You were blessed with glorious weather. We’ve done the walk from Lynmouth to Watersmead House a few times as we love it so much. ( cream tea at the House is great too). I particularly enjoyed you in the “stick swing” 😀 and then the tumble at the end... very funny ... also glad you made it to your car in daylight x Elena
As soon as you touched the flowing water with your hand, my tension eased and i felt at peace. What an amazing shore cliff trail or the coastal path probably. The tree stump portal reminded me of the book The Faraway Tree, characters lived on the tree. :-) by Edith Blyton. I wouldn't have been able to resist the tree swing either.. An amazing circular walk. Thank you.
Completed this yesterday! My 2nd walk recommended by you, so thank you! It was absolutely stunning 🥰 We stopped at The Ancient Mariner and had a cream tea too! I was tempted to tell them we were here because of you, so you’d get a free cup of tea or something next time, but of course, remained very British and said nothing but Thank You haha! Such a stunning walk, thanks for sharing!!
Good to see you back out and about. I find trail running helps mental illness more than running. Exmoor is a highly underated national park I love it there. Some fantastic trails there. Richard
What a breath of fresh air you are. So natural in front of the camera. Lovely filming and delightful commentary. I'm feeling inspired to get out there and explore. Exmoor is on my doorstep but taken for granted......until now. Looking forward to going through the rest of your videos.
What a beautiful walk, i can see you why you are so fond of it. I too struggle with the sensory perception thing, especially with regards to man made noise. When in nature alone, all the anxiety just melts away, the contrast in state of mind is sometimes overwhelming. Great to see you walking and having fun Abbie :)
An heroic adventure - a walk through mist and fire. I love the different moods this single walk presented. Also, I’m a huge fan of the butt-slide technique.
I did the C2C last year with an old friend from college to celebrate our 60th birthdays. What a fantastic experience! Sorry to hear that you got an injury on it. It is much to easy to get injured unfortunately and something we are always hoping to avoid. Good luck with your knee healing and future hikes! Love your videos!
Hahaha just got to the part with the swing. I especially love the moment after you dismount and trip and just lay there for a minute giggling on the ground. Very relatable haha. You are so much fun and very calming to watch. Thank you for filming this on your walk and taking the time to edit and put all of this together. I very much appreciate it. :)
Hey Abbie, thanks for sharing such a great walk. Glad you got some much needed time out. Your expert mounting of the rope swing was really impressive as was the breathtaking dismount. I give you a 10 out of 10 on that one. Hope all is well. Cheers from Arkansas.
Watching your videos always makes me want to get back out in the wild. Done the West Highland Way 2 weeks ago and looking for my next trail before going back to work in 2 weeks.
Really nicely filmed Abbie...one of my favourite parts of the country. I've actually stayed in the little cottages at Rockford which you passed. A mate and I would fish the river every year (trying to relive our youths !!)..You have to park one side of the river and walk your bags over the tiny bridge....keep up the great work and I'm sure you're inspiring many people
If you were not active, you would not be having injuries but it is a small price to pay for such wonderful views. The coast is beautiful and well worth the walk.
Marvellous walk and video. It's a pity I live in Essex...makes it difficult to "pop" to Exmoor or Dartmoor at short notice especially in the summer what with all the traffic in both directions and it being so busy with visitors. By the way, you have great sense of humour.
Great video, very uplifting. I find your videos highly therapeutic! I am currently walking around the coast of Britain in stages (done from Dorset to near Colchester - about 500 miles out of 5500). Have you thought of doing the entire coast of Britain? I think coastal walking is the best.
Loved this walk! So much can happen in a day huh? And what a beautiful walk. So happy you took the river path, and that swing! I would of done the same thing but you were definitely alot more graceful than I would of been. This past weekend I went on my first walk. I'm terribly out of shape physically again after a winter of inactivity and my walk was only 3 kilometers... but you have to start somewhere right? Thanks for the enjoyable and inspirational video!
Very enjoyable watch Abbie... Glad you took the river path, I love rivers and waterfalls... Is that a go pro 7 black you are using? Fantastic quality...
Haha! “Hey stick, fancy joining me on a walk?’ *Crack* ‘Guess that’s a no then’ 😂 Love these vids, I recently did the Worth Matravers to Chapmans pool after seeing your walk, so you definitely DO inspire people 👍
Hi, I've recently come across your channel. Great stuff. I wonder if you could give us an example of how you plan a walk. Do you sit at the kitchen table with maps considering the places you've been (maybe an area is good for only one walk). Do you spend much time on the history on your route (for your "travelogues") are some places more difficult to justify the trip? All that stuff
Hi Abbie, love watching your walks and would like to follow the routes at some point, my question is do you have a profile on either map my walk or view ranger or could you upload the GPX so we can all use and enjoy....cheers Stew
Abbie’s quote of the day - 4:50 in. “It’s fine having some rocks up my butt. I don’t really mind that too much. I’ve had worse.” - Really? 😂😂🤣 You’re a lot wilder than I thought! 😮
Hi Abbey , I watched your walk in Scotland last night and loved seeing my fathers homeland through your camera and descriptions. I found you easy to listen to and loved the greens and the creeks, and history. It means a lot to me that you are doing this & mentioned that sometimes your mental health is not so robust either. At 72 I know I will not be travelling halfway around the world to see this in person so thank you very much. Heather from New Zealand.
Another wonderful video Abbie, thank you...keep smiling and the world will smile with you 👍😉🙂
"Another lovely long walk?" what a way to be welcomed! fantastic!

Lymouth walk today of interest thanks like the fresh water for a refreshing drink
Another lovely vid Abbie, thanks.
Reminded me of travels in my youth especially seeing Watersmeet after sixty years. Your dismount made me smile. Thanks.

Lovely. There are a million things that could have gone wrong on that swing -lol- but I’m glad you made it off!
New sub here. Just discovered your channel and absolutely love it!! I'll be binge watching!

Was that a little Jordan Feliz there when you were looking at the map?
You should make a detailed review of that high end trekking pole. Cheers from the East
