Oh Peter this whole program was such a beautiful work of art. The music was a perfect background for all your beautiful sculptures . I loved that the room was all dark and it gave the sculptures full attention. It was presented so beautifully. What type of paper is used ?
@@kundanshirke533 For my white paper pop-up sculptures that are shown in this video, I used card stock with a weight of 230 g/m² and 300 g/m² (for the pop-up objects). The brand name of the paper is „Fedrigoni Splendorgel Extra White“. For the backing sheets, I used very strong cardboard, called „bristol board“ with a weight of approx. 900 g/m². Dear Valentin, when I created my first pop-up sculpture - more than 30 years ago, in the year 1989, I also had no idea about pop-ups. At that time, I did not even have a computer. Thank you for your praise! For my artworks, I am often using a paper that is called "Fedrigoni Splendorgel Extra White" in the weights of 230 g/m² and 300 g/m² - but I am doing this only, because I like the white tone very much. For all my other pop-up sculptures (e.g. client's projects) I prefer to use "chromosulfate cardboard". This is the sort of cardboard that is also used for chocolate boxes and similar packagings (e.g. boxes for cosmetics). A famous brand name is "Invercote" by the company Iggesund/Holmen Group. I like to work with "Invercote G" in 220 g/m² and 240 g/m². I hope that I could help you. All the best, Peter

Which paper is this???
Dear Nazmul Hossain, I used uncoated paper from teh brand "Fedrigoni Splendorgel Extra White" in a weight of 230 g/m² for most of the pop-up sculptures in this video. For the backing sheets, I used strong cardboard (grey board). However, if you want to create similar pop-ups, you may use any other sort of sturdy paper/thin cardboard. There are even BETTER qualities available than the paper that I used. It also depends on the size of the objects, which paper is best suitable. When I started developing my own pop-ups about 30 years ago, I didn't even have a computer yet ;-) I have acquired most of my specialist knowledge through practical work with paper and cardboard - through trial and error. Dear Rakesh Singh, the pop-up sculptures in this video are pieces of art that I create in a limited edition. I sell these artworks to museums and to private collectors.
