You explained this so well. All in under 10mins! I was so confused. May God continue to bless you in your gift of wisdom in teaching the word of God ❤
I love 2 Samuel 24 and this chapter! I was confused when I first read 2 Samuel 24, because it implies that God told David to take the census, but I was like "Wait, why would God tell him to do that only to rebuke him for sinning?" But then I was introduced to 1 Chronicles 21, which says that it was actually Satan that told David to take the census! This was really important to me, because it shows the importance of watching out for the devil's deceptions and reading God's word from different perspectives. May the Lord bless you all!
Thank you so much for helping us get through the bible. May God continue to bless you with His wisdom! ❤
God bless you too!!🙌✝️
Thank you for another well thought out application
Oh let's go 1 Chronicles 21 (I love this one!) may the Lord bless you all✝️❤️🔥
I’m still a little confused 😅 can someone please explain to me why David getting a census on his people was not pleasing to the lord? Back in Number they got a count of all of the men that can fight but David can not to the same? 😅
Usually when you count/number things it’s usually in the context of ownership where the things you're counting are your own. Due to David's lack of divine authorization, it seemed as though he gave himself the right to conduct the census, treating the Israelites as though they were his property, even though in reality, the people of Israel belong to God not David. Conducting a census outside of God's authority was wrong
