    ????????? Not sure I understand ... Did God forgive David completely but still would not let him build the temple?

      He told him because he had blood on his hands not in the wrong way but God wanted to build the Temple in peace, when the land was in peace with no wars and we see this during Solomon ' time

      God have already said to David in 1 Chronicles 17 that he was not going to build His House (also 2 Samuel 7) so it was long before David's sinful act to count the people in 1 Chronicles 21.

    Wait, so David cheated on his wives and had another baby with a married woman, and that baby is Solomon, who is the third king of Isreal, and he built the Temple in Jerusalem. What would God allow this???

      Do you think people who have sinful parents should be excluded from serving God because of their parent's sins? Should Solomon have been punished because his dad messed up? Many children today are born out of sinful relationships, but God doesn't restrict them from working in His Kingdom. What are your thoughts?
