Very cool taking us with you to the swap meet. I had a green machine when I was a kid too. Road it till the wheels no longer existed. Can't wait to see the next video 👍
This is one of the best swap meets I have seen for old unusual stuff like the odd rear end and that military frame The vans with the pick up box are a cool idea for a build
Hi from uk mate👋👍 some great purchases their buddy👌 will help out massively on builds 👍 I really enjoyed this 1 and seems I know you thought about the Suzuki 1200 v and electric cart think "" I could but that engine in back of cart and make it work with those big ass tyres👌 ""😂 lol loved that some of the old fords in this one tho and good turn out from buyers and sellers and just day outers so 👌 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Wicked sale, looks like you found some good deals, awesome car's and truck's, and all, thanks for showing us around, look forward to the car show, all the best to you and your loved ones
I really do miss not being able to go to the Iola Car Show which is mostly parts and some booths . Two days is not enough for just the parts section !! Back in the late 1980's it ran for 2 weeks . I could only spend 1 week there and that was Not enough time to get through the parts section alone !! It started as a weekend event back in the very late 1960's or beginning of the 1970's . It started in a farmer's hay field , and as it grew it was extended to a week long . Although it's called the Iola Car Show , it grew to include the town right next to Iola called Sugarbush and was expanded to several farmer's hay field's and the farmers seen how it grew so most of all the farmers cut their hay at the same time for the Car Show and extended to a 2 weeks event !! I went there from about when it first started back in the end of the 1960's or beginning of 1970's . I continued to go till the mid 1990's !! That was my Man Vacation !!! There were several sections and one of them was the camping area for RV Campers and that's where I stayed at night , the days were in the part's area !! It Was A Great Time or Blast !!! 🥴👍 But if my wife See's this , then 😇
I liked those Banana Splits, 6 wheeled car's, on Banana Splits they always looked fun, awesome array of THINGS, thanks for showing us around hope you found most of what you need 🤣 never enough 🤣 all the best to yous and your loved ones
Instant like if only for the driving music! They had some cool stuff there. I always love going to swap meets. The swap meet you went to in a separate video at Cape Girardeau MO is local to me but I missed it this year because of work.
It's so cool you made it there I used to go to that show every year with my shop cuz our shop we made model a model t and Willy's Jeep radiators the same way they made all of them original reproductions just with a modern core I can walk around there and point out hundreds of radiators at our shop made all the big distributors bought from us we never sold direct to the public by far one of my favorite shows and swap meets to go to.
Glad you decided to stay for the car show and did enjoy the longer video for sure. I'm confident you will enjoy it it's a car show we went to every year about 10 years the whole shop would go boss man pay for us to go buy some beer and food while we're there the first year we went he brought us so we could see all the model ways and keys and jeeps there with the radiators that we made from scratch same way they made them 100 years ago so respond when you can go out to a car show walk around and see the work that you did in a car and knowing without that radiator that car would be going nowhere. Not sure if you're a beer drinker at all if so you should definitely try point special beer it's brewed right there and Iola I'm not much of a beer drinker I like my liquor but the beers I had they're pretty damn good
If your going to Iola for the swap meet, you have to go on Thursday to get the best stuff. The vendors start pulling in on Wednesday and it’s usually picked over by Friday night and Saturday a lot of the vendors start leaving..
@@misfittoys8883 my Scout was old enough by the time it came to me that factory parts were hard to find ...so every thing I got for it was used parts the names of which was decided by the seller or myself .."short cab" ... just seemed appropriate to me
I did look, but honestly cant remember. Was probably distracted by it being a sox cylinder car. I thought I was pretty knowledgable in Fords. Didnt know fastbacks were available with sixes!!

If I remember right, mine finally broke- plastic construction fell victim to the desert sun over time

Yes. Only my first time at this swap meet, but it definitely did not disapoint.
I always enjoy swap meets, especially in this case because I got to see some cool stuff and didn't get rained on, it didn't cost me a dime 😂👍☮️
And even if you saw something in my vid you wanted, you couldnt buy it because you were not there. Ultimate way to dave money!
Thanks for showing the price tag's on the items love your work camera wise.

Hey Great Video, you got me honking the pull behind hd e-cart and a old car I bought.
I have been going to Iola since 1997. It's a great show and swap meet
Dethlok! Great taste in music man.
Always a mainstay on a solo roadtrip. Amazing how it can keep me alert for hours and hours.

Always wanted one of those amphibious 6 wheelers when I was younger.

Metalocalypse Dethalbum 1 is my main go to for solo road trips
Very good video thanks.
Thanks for the video! I haven't made Iola in a few years. Been a pretty good swap to hit over the years. Seems bigger then Jefferson, spring at least.
Jefferson is another one I am considering checking out.

Does the shop not exist anymore? Or you just do not work there anymore?
@@misfittoys8883 oh no the shop still exists they're still doing it. I moved out of state and I work there no more.

I am not a big drinker. I will absent mindedly drive them into me when in a social setting around a campfire for some odd reason though.
Very good scores at the swap meet.
Got quite a few things I was actually looking for. Cpuldnt find a radiator and fuel tank for the 76 Bronco though.
Very cool! I was there on Saturday!
I did swap meet on Friday. As I passed through swap meet to get to car show on Saturday, there was a LOT more shoppers than Friday
@@misfittoys8883 It was my first time going. I will be going again!
I dont know that I can make it every year, but I shure will try from now on!!

half cab ..thats the short cab for an international scout 4x4 early 60's ... used to drive one...got my short cab at a yard sale...!
Never heard them called that before. Is that what IH marketed them as?

Makes sense. In the Bronco community they have always been called half cabs.
✌🏽😎

Guess he hasnt seen or heard of a Honda Tr200 fat cat fat tire motorcycle I have one and it runs great many for sale still
Not many in the midwest for some reason
How much was the fastback?
I did look, but honestly cant remember. Was probably distracted by it being a sox cylinder car. I thought I was pretty knowledgable in Fords. Didnt know fastbacks were available with sixes!!
I just brought up vid on my laptop to see if I could make out price. $16,750.
“Rebilt engine, rebilt trans” …. Uhhhh… pass 😂
