1:19:25 I watch whatever you do but that body is super clean and would be great to have a new suspension but that is mighty expensive! Great video as always!
I am going to continue to research other options. Maybe even find a front wheel drive or AWD car that would have appropriate dimentions. Real challenge would be finding anything in my price range that is not just as rusty as the Comet
I like the idea of building the rusty comet with whatever you already have laying around. It's kinda the whole reason we watch, to see what you will purpose into something cool. But whatever you do, in sure as hell going to watch!
Watched it, enjoyed it, so I liked it, 2 👍 👍 from down here in Texas!! I know I didnt, but I swear I could almost hear whomever that was that came out on the porch, say "Should have known it was HIM!!"😂
My mom lives in that little house in my yard. I had no idea she was out getting a bit of excercise on her deck at the moment. She did not seem very enthused about the smokeshow!!
They are around if you keep you go really looking for them. After looking at several that were either TOTAL rot boxes or way out of my price range, I decided to go ahead and buy this pair.
Good morning from Cape Cod 🦈 this turned out to be quite an interesting video. It's a shame that theres so much structural damage to that comet ☄️ I like the idea of building your own chassis under it. Whatever you decide I'm sure it'll be fun. Keep up the great work and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
Was always a big fan of the comet. You could make a good driver out of that. Maybe she won’t be the prettiest, but it’ll be cool! EDIT: didn’t see the frame.. that’s bad. Maybe a better parts candidate.
I have a 94 town car chassis sitting in the weeds I was saving for another project. Might do some measuring on it to see if it would be realistic to use one of those. Not as advanced as the last gen of crown vics, but at least the steel crossmember would be easier to work with
Hey Steve Good video and I like some of your ideas for the future build the Comet possibly,BUT what’s going on with the 56 Ford truck in the background???
The F100 sitting on the slab next to second Comet was rescued from crusher. I boxed the front half of grame and have a 300 six/ZF 5 speed and 4407 transfer case in it. If I ever get back to it, I will put 1/2 ton Ford axles under it. There is a 56 F650 behind it in the weeds that has a better cab that I will use
Great clip, so enjoyed I option for body swap (have you seen Straight Cut Gears - 63 falcon 4 DR on a BMW chassis - look up the clip on the destruction of the 170 its priceless - Your second car, old school gasser with 426 /351 Winsor block at 600 hp or droll over this bad boy Ford build - ua-cam.com/video/gJHr4rmQ4lE/v-deo.html

Sometimes buying components is vastly superior to what I have lying around,,,,,,,,if I can afford it!

I’m glad you have another comet to work with! I think those would be hard to find.

@@misfittoys8883 it looks like you have a lot to do! Love the cat, mine is always causing me trouble. But we love him.
I love the looks of the rusted out comet, but in the end you should build what you feel like building. Im just along for the ride .
Glad to have you along. Hard telling when I will get around to building it though
Good.job cool car Nice show 😄👍👍👍👏👏👏👏😍

Doing my best. Thanks for watching and commenting
Your loader is by far the best sounding loader I’ve ever heard. I love it. 👍👍
302 V8 powah!!
Build it it deserves to live on
You sir, are my spirit animal
Damn!! I would think you could set the bar a bit higher than me?
Wow. How can the bodt be so sweet but the whole frame is just.....Gone. Well I know HOW but that's just crazy!
Yeah, I have never seen seen such a striking difference, and I am definitely no syranger to rusty vehicles
Nice vid!!!!! 🤜🤛
Thanks
Great burnout!!! ‘Incoming sigh’ should be the name of the car.
It suprised me how much smoke that old skinny bias ply made. Kinda wish now I would have welded the rear diff to try to burn both of them
Man it’s cold where you are!😮
Sometimes, yes
I’m kinda bummed that things so rusty. I have no doubt she’ll bark to life. 👍
31:00 Yea that's Stop Leak or something similar. I've seen that before too.
I would think it would settle out in the radiator if anywhere.
I subscribed! Hello from the Oregon coast!😊
Welcome aboard. Hope you stay around for a long time
@@misfittoys8883 not going anywhere soon buddy!👍
You can use a bb. To block the brake fluid too!
Interesting. Have never heard of that
Thats a good idea storing them up on trailers. I love your loader. What kind is it?
HOUGH.
No idea what year or model. I saved it from getting cut up as scrap and repowered it with a Ford 302

Syeering seemed OK for what little that I drove it, but no doubt it is a ticking time bomb
Spark control valve on those years to control vacuum advance
Seen a feller shorten a crown vic front member, so why not the rear. I believe they have wheelbase chart for chassis swaps over at Roadkill Customs.

Im in DANGER!!!!😂

If you decide to part it out, give me a shout
Build it
The will is strong, but the time and finances are a bit lacking
Do the ranchero
I have the same cat! Lol. Your strapped! You got wolves or coyotes?
Coyotes. Never needed it for them yet. Groundhogs, raccoons and opossums most recently.
@@misfittoys8883 coons can be formidable and mean! One was killing my mom’s ducks and geese for the food! He got his.
Put the engine in the econoline. 😀
4☠️4 comet
Gasser!
Montclair
What about Montclair?
Swap the body on a bronco chassis
Bronco chassis comes up pretty short. I do have a line on a rusty late 70's F150 shortbed that is pretty damn close to Comet wheelbase
@@misfittoys8883 well I would use that frame instead
The nouse your hearing is the lack of lubrication in the cylinders duh how about a lil luby duby!!!
Seemed more like a gear on gear growl. Timing components possobly?
