Essentially, they are really bad with money, spend it as soon as they make it and while they say they want to pay off debt - at 150k + a year there is not reason they should have it except having no clue on how to live within your means.

    Here is the deal
Most young people just want to enjoy their life. That’s most of the money spend for food, traveling etc
So call enjoy yourself. It’s good when you young. But when you get older. Your physical appearance get weaker. You eventually work harder. Especially you don’t have much saving. What you need to do is : try to save and work harder as much as you could while you still young and when you get older you want to have an option either you still want to work or not to work. Unfortunately 90-97 % of older age . End up force themself to work because the financial issue

More power to her for her alternative lifestyle and she seems like a great person with a great partner but when I heard about the credit card debt, I'm shocked. She made nearly $200k in the last 2 years and she's still paying off a credit card debt and a student loan. She's a great person but there is something very very wrong about the way she's managing her finances. You know when you hear about people making more than $100k a year and still living pay check to pay check, no retirement plan and very little savings. This is one of those people.
