Wowzers Nigel, what an amazing message to send to us - thank you very much for that. The reason we are still going strong is purely down to my patience (leave you guessing who is typing 🤣🤣). Thanks again for that, it’s put a smile on our faces 😎😍
Good evening fellow Josh owners, Clearly the stainless steel box is the heron's microwave for cooking his catch of fish. Well, you did ask, lol. Have fun, cheers, Peter.
@@NarrowEscape1 Well, amongst other things, my latest ailment is the development of webbed feet... Yes, we're all good darn sarf. I hope you are both well way up norf. See you on your next adventure, if not before. Dont do anything I wouldnt do (Interpret that as you wish lol).
Hi Sue and Elliot, well done for capturing the kingfisher on film thank you for that. Sue did a good job with the locks, some of them looked a bit dodgy. Take care and stay safe. See you next time.
Thanks Yvonne. We certainly aren’t grumbling at the Kingfisher footage 🕺🏽💃 Sue is an absolute trooper with the locks. She has grown much stronger than she still looks since taking up canal life! Thanks again.
Was that a kingfisher? Very colourful. Thanks for capturing the picture. Misappropriated Jet Ski? Oh what wonders you see on the canal? Hope you and Josh weathered all the strange named storms and flooding. Until next time, Stay safe.
Thanks Margaux. Sue will be buzzing to know you’ve messaged again. As for the jet ski who knows but the sort of people who steal them would presumably just let it sink rather than pull it out of the canal - who knows because it’s a different mentality?! We are weathering all the storms thanks although it’s not ideal weather for doing anything really. Bring on the Spring!!
Thanks for the video you see some site's nice one and not so nice ones love the three wheeler been a fan of the the programme it was funny what you said to sue you don't mind going down 😂 sorry my mind again lol take care both of you xx 😊
Canoes / kayaks 😮 whatever this time of the morning they're all the same even to me. Love a garden onto the canal like that. Well best watch the rest of the video see how you tackle those locks if assisted or not. Bolt cutters eh if they're padlocked lol joking.. 😅😅😅😅 Kev the Brinklow kayaker
At last a great bit of kingfisher footage I'm made up well done. That little Shetland pony looked a bit unkempt lol they always do, me and my two sisters learnt yo ride horses by riding a little Shetland pony, he was a little sod when he had enough of being ridden he would just get down and roll to get you off 😅😅😅 His name was Sebastian ❤ Happy days. Loved the video watched whkle making my David John's sandwich 😅 cheese 🧀 but with pickle.. ❤ Had enough of marmite....😊 Have fun great footage loved it as always. Canoe kayak 😂😂😂 Kev the Brinklow kayaker 🎉
@NarrowEscape1 cruising the cut he likes cheese sandwiches lol 😆 Canal guy on you tube was on amazon Sold his boat now has a little cruiser. I like you guys more though ha ha 😂 😂 Kev
@Kev_the-Brinklow-Kayaker ah of course. Hadn’t put his name together. We just refer to him as David off Cruising the Cut although now thinking about it we do know his surname! Yum yum, cheeeeeeeeeessseeees
Thanks Mic 👍👍 We sometimes do wonder. Luckily Blackburn behaved itself but we have the wonders of Burnley a bit further up the canal to contend with. Hey ho!! All good here thanks and thanks again for your continued support 😎💪🤜
Wonderful as always guys. That early footage with the wildlife sounds was great with my earphones 👍. It’s a shame about all the rubbish you get in the towns, puts me off doing hires in town stretches. I thought that guy with the dog was hired by you to mind Sue , as she’s a bit accident prone 😂
Thanks Paul. The microphone is superb and as you’ve totally clicked, sounds best with headphones! You are also right on hiring in towns, or more specifically certain ones anyway. 🤣🤣 on the chap with the dog. He wasn’t being hired, I was worried his dog was hungry (😱) but he was a nice chap just training his dog. It would have been best if he waved to me or something and said Hi and then I’d know his intentions were as honourable as they ended up being. Sue needs one of those inflatable balls that people whizz down hills in rather than a minder!! Thanks again 👍
@@NarrowEscape1 😂👍yeah, there’s an idea. You will have to get her one with arm holes though or she will be no use at all 🤣 have a great weekend once it arrives. I’m hiring this weekend, doing Husband Bosworths tunnel (my first tunnel) Foxton lock flight and the Market Harborough arm 👍
Nicely done you two. I finished the baseplate inside yesterday, will be starting to put the ballast back in next week, then get the sub floor down the week after, there'll be a few more pics up for you. Have a good week, K
Thanks K. We saw the Patreon notification we received so will take a nosey at the work you’ve done because it will be good to see. Just juggling a lot of stuff at this end but will take a look 👍👍😎
Thanks Kath - even my mother, infamous Orv, called today to say she’d just watched the kingfisher on the video and loved it! That jet ski is weird isn’t it? Hopefully you passed through BB Locks OK? We did some filming around your destination recently so keep your eyes peeled for another video or two around the area 👍
Great capture of the kingfisher! So difficult to get on film. Lovely area at the start of the video - such a shame it deteriorated and the canal is so full of rubbish. Not nice. Hopefully you are heading for a nicer area next.
Thanks Mishka for that. Yeah, capturing the kingfisher was a real treat and when you see one that doesn’t instantly fly away you need to try and seize the moment. My phone is old and the technology lacking but I think it came out OK given I used zoom and had to control the boat too? As for our destination, it gets worse but then much, much better thanks 👍
I would not dream of repeating what you said to Sue when she responded by saying 'she would have a go'. The reference being to the weed hatch (and that's not a euphemism). I did smile at your heading insertion though. I am confident it wasn't meant for me... Or was it? 😮 The Kingfisher looked really colourful, well done with that. As for you asking what strange things we have seen in the canal. Well I once saw what appeared to be a coffin floating in the water. Had someone asked to be buried at sea, but lived too far from the coast, so the canal was the next best thing? Not something you expect to see, but fortunately it was only a coffin lid. I rescued a horse from the canal once, during my previous life in the FS. Plus recovered three or four human bodies that had sadly suffered drowning. Not a pretty sight or pleasant to deal with. Sue looked full of energy again this week, hopefully recovered from the ear infection. I said HOPEFUĹLY RECOVERED FROM THE EAR INFECTION? Good luck with the next destination at that place we don’t talk about, begining with B and ending with urnley.😂 ❤
See what you did there Harry 🤭🤣 Sorry to hear about your experiences in the Fire Service. That sort of thing just isn’t nice is it?! Takes a strong person to deal with that… As for the canal ahead …oh yes, the joys but as you say, beyond that is nice, nice, nice…
Isn’t Barrowford open now plus no mention of Blackburn locks being closed on crt website.Never a smooth journey thro Blackburn.I -l plan to come down from Skipton end of Feb.Enjoyed the video.
You’re good now Peter - we are just behind on vlogs. You should have a decent run hopefully. Not sure what current situation is with Johnson’s Hillock Locks though if you’re intending on going that far? 👍
It's a shame that some of these depressed urban areas have gotten so messy, they often have great old architecture and would otherwise be lovely but for the taggers and such.
It is a shame indeed but I suppose as long as they centre themselves in concentrated areas they are spreading things like graffiti where it mostly definitely shouldn’t be!
Hi Elliot I can't wait for your next cruise as it's going to be a bit hard for you to see where your cruising with that new jet ski on your roof.. (carpet-gate) is it now (ski-gate)? john
🤣🤣, love it John. Can you imagine Sue’s face if I united the red tractor from London with ‘the’ carpet, AND the Blackburn jet ski??! 😱😱 You tell her first… 😬😬
you will have to photoshop the images of carpet car and jet ski on top of your narrowboat or photo shop you following the narrowboat or be a good tow if you loose engine power haha!😂
@johnwood1804 🤣🤣🤣🤣 If I put everything (or as Sue call it “all the crap”) I collect on our way around on top of Josh’s roof we wouldn’t be able to see a single thing 🤣🤣
Your videos are so good. The relationship you two have is delightful, just as my wife and me. It makes me happy. Please keep going with the vids. ❤
