Well Linda, I'm pleased to announce that due to your excellent canning videos and after studying the Ball and Presto books, I canned 12 pints of rainbows yesterday having seasoned each with about a third of a t-spoon of powdered smoke, Jonnie's seasoning salt and garlic powder! They turned out perfect and every jar sealed!!! Thanks for all that you do and God Bless.

Thanks. I have used these principles to can both beef and lamb after watching your vids. Just tonight, after getting home late from work, I was able to get a big pot of lamb stew on the table in less than half an hour because I had the meat in the pantry. Just threw a few cut up potatoes, carrots and onions in the pressure cooker and poured the meat on top... Juice and all... Pressure cooked just a few minutes, thickened the gravy and voila! Dinner on the table! Thanks again!

Linda, I just did this recipe, and I must tell you, that stock you make is absolutely AMAZING! OMG! I cannot wait to try this! I have extra stock left over, and I am going to can that as well, and keep it as a gravy base! OH YUMMMMMMMYYY!!

I am getting into canning and prepping, and I find your videos very helpful and informative!! We moved into a new home this past year and I finally have enough land to do a vegetable garden. So this time next year, I'll be enjoying some canned vegetables. Your right about browning meat to give it an extra level of flavor. My Wife wouldn't brown meat when making soup until I made some and she realized the flavor difference. Thanks for sharing, take care..

These older videos crack me up. Couldn't resist buying beef at $2.17 a pound on sale. $4.80 a pound is on sale these days. I've learned a lot from watching your videos after never canned anything but nickels, dimes and quarters in my life. That's all going to change with the way the world is going and winter heading my way.

4 years ago seems like the "really good old days" compared to what we're all dealing with.I can't trust the grocery store meat, it's just bad quality feedlot so I buy from a local farm.

I am very excited I love your videos and even though I am nervous I am buying finally a canner so I am going to start soon. I watch you always and I am learning. As old as I am I am the first in my family that will be doing this even though they all think I am being silly since I live alone. However, I dehydrate and feel it is what I am supposed to do Life is hard and I think the good meant for us to be prepared for hard times. God Bless you Mercedes

Hi Linda, I am a new subscriber and I am really enjoying your videos and hope to learn a lot from you on canning. I got into canning several years ago and then because of my job and traveling, I got away from it. Now I am retired and looking forward to doing a lot of cooking again. It will give my wife a break and she has taken such good care of me over the years and I would like to give her a break from the daily cooking routines.

Put up stew meat using your recipe and the family loved it! Also made hamburger patties using a wide-mouth ring (saw imstillworkin using the small-mouth ring to make sausage patties and figured I'd finally have a hamburger press), browned them, then used the broth from your recipe. Another big hit! Thank you for all the information you provide!!

I have a 6 quart pressure cooker I picked up for less than $20 at a close out sale at Target. 3 pints fit perfectly in it, and it goes up to 15 psi (I need that for my altitude as well). It's great for canning small quantities when I don't want to get my big canner out. I canned some bacon in it the last time I bought the 4 pound pack at Costco. Worked great, and of course the pound that didn't fit made it into breakfast the next day.

It’s 2021, September. I just finished my pint jars of beef stew. I wish I had seen this for the broth, but it’s ok. I had 2 failed jars, so I just ate one now for dinner. Wow! So good. I used bouillon cubes and it’s a bit salty. Next time I’ll use your recipe. Could you list your ingredients for it please? I browned my cubed meat and it just melted in my mouth……

Alot of my folks who live far from me, still can but they are not near enough to really help or show me the process. This is a great help. Thanks, Got a question. Canning jars here are so high for the qt jars they the cheapest was 18.00 for 12 is that right? I thought the jars where alot cheaper. Can you just water bath the meat and can or do you have to Pressure cook it? Thanks
