I must say your videos are very enjoyable. The truck is great and a treasure! BUT! You missed out on one of the most popular and easiest most coveted and passionately loved You Tube favorites!! THE WASH! I can't believe you didn't do a pressure wash video! Personally I could care less but YT is Gaga over them! They love to watch as the Mold and grime is blasted away by the pressure washer strip by strip. LOL. NEXT TIME you'll know better. You missed out on thousands of views because you didn't do that. Okay now that that's done Thank you so much for the hard work you do in videoing these and bringing them to us!
I'm really enjoying this restoration. You have ideas I would have never thought of. When I started my electrical business my first pickup was a 1970 f100, same color as yours. I bought it on sealed bid auction for $100. It originally came from government owned site in Nevada. We called it Barney after the popular purple dinosaur.
@Joe Schlotthauer If it was my truck and I was doing a restoration and was going to do another bed liner, I'd just do the spray-on type (after it was repainted, of course).
Excellent video also remember my 1972 Ford F350 Pick Up also enjoy for 25 years then sold it after restoration to in 2005 was Navy Blue body with Navy Blue interior and had 390 4V 4barrel hand choke cable carb with Eaton D18 Manual floor shifter Creeper 4 speed with Bow Low out a 1968 International Pickup 1300 1 ton truck plus updated with 4×4 to !
Nice update! Caliper is super easy to fix. Take out the pads and pump the brake pedal til the pistons is about to come out the push it all the way back in. It will unstick it and lube the calipers piston seal at the same time. Should do both sides!
yeah i guess someone converted it over to disc,,no harm there...i wish i had a place to work on this truck so i am bummed i cant buy it...i would love to tear into this thing ..i had a 72 f100 4x4 for 14 years...this is my favorite gen of trucks
Thanks for the info, I loved the videos and I had a 71 with a 302. But sold it a number of years ago and the one you had was a fancy on mine was just a custom. I bet you the 3000 or more in just a few hours. Thanks again for the show. Ray
@Mike Sawyer Actually, disc brakes weren't available on the F-100 until the 1973 model year (among the numerous changes) but, beginning with the 1968 model year, they were available on the F-250 and F-350 models. To be fair, if it was my truck, I'd convert all 4 brakes to discs. As for it being loaded, it has the top-of-the-line Ranger XLT trim level (order code=U Black cloth and vinyl bench seat is what this one appears to have; check out fordification.com for more info). The paint color is Royal Maroon (order code=2) and appears to be the original. Also, if it were my truck, I'd leave the interior in it's original black and either repaint it the Royal Maroon or change it to combination two-tone with Sequoia Brown Metallic (order code=R) being the main color and Prairie Yellow (order code=K) on the roof and lower body sides (that is, below the spear moldings).
Well I’m not exactly sure what the option was on those trucks in those years but I had a 72 short bed and he had her brakes all the way around the disc brakes it’s something I’m interested in and would like to know more about the options available in anytime I do know that I love these drugs they will work horses and just Turf
My 1970 F-250 came with front disc brakes. I own the truck to this day. They are original!
the Lincoln turbine wheels look really good
I have always liked those.

Very cool!
Bed liners are *NOTORIOUS* for holding and trapping water and moisture, it's the vinyl top of the car....

Good idea. I will try it!
Looking good!!
Not sure if anyone else has told you but there is a reverse light out on the left side. Good luck 🤞
I had not noticed that. Thanks!
Nice bro

Maybe go get a quick cut on those rotors for a non pulsating prdal
P b blaster is good stuff i also use one called thrust
I have not heard of Thrust, but I will look out for it.
Looking good and still waiting on the price
How do I get in contact with you?
What did you use to get the body so clean?
All that was needed was hot water with dish detergent. It worked fantastic.

@@rayhofman2924 Yes, it sold almost immediately.
Replace and flush brake fluid. Brake fluid absorbs water...
It could've been built late in 72...
Take the bed liner out to check for rust...
Disks were probably an option I'm 72, this truck was a loaded model.

Still have this truck?
I wouldn't buff the thin paint... just touch up the paint and spray clear coat on it...

Nope I wrong was option disc brakes and we had disks on a f 300 wrecker
If it is a ranger XLT trim truck that is why it is a 390, and the disc brake front suspension.
when ever I replaced brake parts I replaced all
What do you want for it...
Not sure yet. I'd like to get it driving first and then decide. Feel free to come down and take a look.
