Arma 3 - Nuclear Plane Crash

- During a routine flight a U.S. Globemaster III is hit with the EMP of a nuclear Detonation. They are forced to make an emergency landing into the water, resulting in most of plane's occupants becoming deceased. The Survivors of the crash must now fight the local military of the island they landed near in order to escape the nuclear fallout zone.

I love how the further back you go in his videos, you notice he goes from more serious RP in arma and slowly gets more and more unhinged going from stuff like "Nuclear plane crash" to "getting absolutely violated by space marines with high casualties"
The pilot crashes plane killing half of the Marines, then swims ashore asking if there are any dead Marines that he can loot. Then loots the man for his uniform and becomes their officer and starts giving orders............ lol seems legit

Yea pilots mostly go through escape and evasion courses, not full combat courses, but in our wonderful case here we are in the magical world of video games! Where anything is possible!

Yea, how nuke EMPs work in the mod is that they drain all the vehicles around them of fuel so they will power down

Well, if you think about it, an EMP would cut all electronics, so the plane wouldn't be able to measure fuel, so the fuel gauge would come up as empty.

I absolutely LOVE when y'all were on the beach shore and healing each other, and those other dudes were in a kneeled position watching the perimeters! Dude that shit was siiiccckk i actually smiled felt some vibbeesss lol i love watching actual tactics play out
They fucked that up a little by having all these undiisciplined guys running around fully visible and in front of their guns but yeah, it was a nice touch.
Altough its slightly too hasty tbh, they should have set perimeter and then scavenge shit from corpses, that humvee, maybe take something out of the plane etc.
Plus there seems to be the absolute lack of any command structure at all and it annoys me a little.

there is ground effect when close to the ground, and it either pushes you away or sucks you down. you want it to push you away during landing, and to be losing enough lift to gently drop you onto the landing area. basically you want to be nose up during landing, not nose down.
Arma doesn't handle crash physics very well. It treats any surface like cement if you're in a air vehicle.
@@MultiGamingNetwork03 i doubt it has pressure wave physics either, so no ground effect. Arma is great, but it has some issues.

In my opinion, you should have deployed the flaps from the beginning since flaps produce lift
Michael SAL I’m a naval aviation mechanic, so I might have a little bit of knowledge but don’t quote me. You wouldn’t use flaps during a crash landing because they severely deplete your air speed. Granted they will give you lift but you wouldn’t want a high altitude with a low flight speed, as you would eventually stall out and go into a free fall.

you did a good job stalling the aircraft 😂😂... keeping a reasonable altitude is one thing but it's useless if your air speed is going down like crazy, once it's too low you're just a brick in the skies...

You could've made a crash landing on land, but you banked left and bled to much speed. Also, when you lowered the flaps it caused you to drop like a stone. Honestly, I'd love to play this game just for the piloting. DCS is great and all but this you are more than just a plane.

Fun fact: landing on water is often the way to die, seeing as people prematurely open their life vests and planes can easily be ripped to shreds at high velocity impacts with water. Often it is actually better to horizontally collide with land.
That’s just wrong in every way, I’m an engineer on a c17 so I know the specifics of the aircraft, a typical a380 is better suited to a water landing as it has a dihedral wing design whereas we have an anhedral wing which starts at the top of the fuselage pointing down as opposed to the a380’s wing that starts at the base pointing upwards, they skim across water much better, also the c17 has a system called FEDS, in 3 or 4 corners of the plane there are rope ladders deployable by a handle, you climb the ladder and there’s a pull handle at the top, you pull that and det cord blows a rectangle in the planes body at the top and releases a life raft for everyone to climb out of, also in a water landing the aircraft ground engineer would remove the 2 pins from the door actuator and put them into the lock to lock the door closed so that it can’t be pushed open by the water, a lot of thought goes into it

Should have extended the flaps to get more lift of you could, if you couldn't then nose down to get some speed then as close to the ground as possible with out hitting the ground nose up to control the landing..

"Nuclear plane crash", I thought the plane was nuclear, and the crash would just be the start of a nuclear disaster type scenario.
So that is what happend after that video of the dudes playing as rebels and finding a russian nuke so one dude says sarcasticly "let's nuke the village" and then one of the guys in the squads detonates the nuke
