      I’m all natural but I got a weave not too long ago and the ends of the leave out are now permanently straight from just straightening the hair a few times? I’m so mad. Thx for this video!!!

      I can't even tell you how many times I've had it and worse is that it took long before I knew that this was what actual damage looked like (due to the sickness of a culture that glorified straight hair, it made it seem as though it was good if it was straight regardless of the condition of its health and how it got that way) and it took just as long to know that heat caused it....so now, even when I've now been without heat for 6 years, I still feel the PTSD lol

    I wish my mom did this to me, she spent so much money to make my hair "straight" instead of just healing my damaged curls.
    I feel so guilty for asking for money to treat my hair, so I'm j gonna leave it this way to another time

    I went to the salon for a silk press a few days before Christmas. And this week when I went to wash my hair I was a nightmare! So many straight pieces of hair. 😭😭😭 But thanks to this video I see that I have some hope in restoring my hair without cutting it all off

    This video spoke to me! My daughter has always had waist length hair and I spend a lot of time and energy keeping our hair healthy. I sent her with a friend to a salon for a blowout and the same thing happened only now it’s literally falling off 😢. I just started the Olaplex so I’m hoping that in addition to our Ayurvedic routine it will bring it back.

      I hate that myth. I’ve had damaged ends before and I trimmed it, but didn’t cut it. I recommend looking into Ayurvedic products for your hair health. It really allowed me to grow my hair ALOT in a short amount of time and I didn’t have to excessively cut my hair. There are many Ayurvedic videos on UA-cam I recommend looking into. Look up HolisticHabits or Katherine Sewing. They know a lot about Ayurvedic haircare and the vitality of using ingredients from the earth for our hair. I’m a young black woman so I’m not just sending you to random people LOL 😂I got you. It’s works for us too!

    • @Theyfw_cece8

      That happened with me expect I didn’t care but it’s been 3 years and I still haven’t managed to fully grow it to the length it was and it’s frustrating me I would tell you to either cut it only a bit or not at all and try treatments at home because it’s really hard to find a style you’ll like and feel comfortable in with short hair

    • @destinyv1270
      @destinyv1270 7 місяців тому +1

      I would say, you don’t have to go scissor crazy, you can trim half of the heat damage off, and do protein treatments once a month with aphogee, and then to bring back moisture, you can do a deep conditioner under the dryer after. And if you curls start growing back, you can trim the rest little by little. That’s what I first did as I was transitioning, and it worked for me.

    I luv your videos and vlogs, your so relatable 💯👸🏽💕 Lyric' s hair looked so pretty after you finished. Keep up the treatments and her hair will be back to normal in no time. Also the best way to use Olaplex is to use the number 0 and the number 3 to get the best results. You don't need every step and plus that stuff is expensive and you don't even get a full 8oz.😁💖🌹

    long hair truly comes with paitience. For heat damage, with proper nourishment and protection, it should revert in several months to several years for different people. You just have to wait even if it takes years at least for me it eventually bounced back.

    hi! i came back to this video to ask two more questions, so when you put the masque in, did you massage her scalp before letting the masque sit for 30-40 mins or did you massage it after letting the masque sit for 30-40 mins? and my second question is what did you put in her hair after the scalp massage? because when you rinsed it out you said “conditioner” but i thought you already did the conditioner part when you were washing her hair, so im a little confused on what conditioner OR did you mean to say masque? that’s all, i hope you have an amazing day!❤️❤️

    OMG I'm watching this and I'm cringing...... You are using the product totally wrong! First off... Why are you applying No. 0 on her scalp???!!!! That product is for the hair shaft only and to be followed by #3 on top of #0 (they go together), it's a bond treatment which has nothing to do with the scalp. Not to be used on it's own, oh good lord. 0 + 3 always or #3 on it's own on damp hair. I know this is a old video so I hope you figured it out by now.
