Miss your Yes reactions Pope. Remember long while ago, finding your copious Yes reactions. You could hardly contain yourself, Jon's voice especially. Nice to see you again good sir. 😊
Thanks for coming back to Yes ❤ Another outstanding song. I’ve not heard this one in so long time for some reason. Nice ❤ In your list of what you’ve reacted to, you don’t mention the first 2/3 tracks on the album. Future Times/Rejoice and Don’t Kill the Whale. They are absolute fire 🔥 🔥 ❤ Ideally do all 3 in one swoop/
I have been a Yes Fan since I was 16... 49 years ago... I had not heard this song... Thank You! Your Connections come for a Time... Be thankful during those times and hold them in your heart for they are your eternity ...
I watch all of your YES reaction videos I can vouch for your appreciation of YES You hear YES Like YES says "Seen all good people turn their heads each so satisfied I'm on my way".
Good to see you back reacting to Yes. This was written by Chris, very heartfelt & unique. Suggest Homeworld from The Ladder album, I am waiting from Talk & Give love each day from Magnification, all beautiful versions of 90's to 2000 Yes with Jon. Best wishes
So nice to enjoy Yes with a fellow Yesfan. Fellow Yesfans.❤ This band did lots of work in and around the early 2000’s touring, releasing quality tour dvd’s. You will enjoy all of them, even the ones without the mid-70’s classic 5 of Wakeman, Howe, Squire, White, Anderson. Like all of Yes’ best work, these archives of their concerts seem only to improve with time. ❤
You’ve certainly done many, many Yes reactions but here are a few songs that you haven’t covered yet; FOOTPRINTS which has a great “hook”, THE PROPHET and ASTRAL TRAVELLER both from the Time and a Word album, Dreamtime and Magnification and Can you Imagine all from the Magnification album. Hope to see you hearing them soon !
One of the most important and jaw-dropping bands of all time. Thank you Pope. This is a beautiful song I hadn't heard in a long time and I'm a big YES fan just like you - so kudos on the deep dive!
I had lunch with Jon (of course, I bought) in Chicago at Carmine's. Then he signed about 20 different items for me. Then, he invited me to be VIP at that night's Chicago show. What a day. I've seen YES live 49 times.
Lifelong Yes fan but am hearing this for the first time. Kind of gave up somewhere in the late 80s. But glad for people like you to catch up on what I missed. This was beautiful.
I feel so guilty, I have been sleeping on this track. When I go through this album I often skip this song, so anxious to get to the closer, 'The Silent Wings..' This is a beautiful ballad that can also apply to connecting to the Divine, the prescence of a beacon that can lead 'through the night of my life" Not something that would often refer to a companion unless that companion is a spiritual guide of some kind, like a burning light ahead of one that is leading one 'onward', beyond the night and into the pure daylight of the afterlife.. Beautiful depth and simplicity. YES!! Listen to the rest of the album, there are more underrated tracks like 'Arriving UFO" and "Don't Kill the Whale' I don't think the world was quite ready for Jon's New Age perspective back in the late 70s, Lol!! It took the world about ten more years to get up to speed on all of that 'Gaia' stuff, Lol
OMG! Those vocal harmonies!!!!! There is a live version of this song on the " Keys to Ascension" (the live tracks) release, which is just as beautifully sung as this version. Chris Squire wrote this tune! Awesome reaction, Pope!!! YES, by all means, finish the album! Use your own judgment on the tunes, don't go by what certain others may think of it.
Such a gorgeous meditative song. A much maligned album but my favorite. I used to let the cassette play and play in my car. The single "dont kill the whale" probably turned people off as it was slightly new wavish.
Please keep going through Yes' discography! Jon does a lot more with them! This isn't his last! There's even a couple albums that have both Jon and Rick! There's more!
You've turned into a big Yes fan I see. They were the first major concert I ever saw. The Tourmato tour, 1979 in Cedar Rapids Iowa. They had a 3 tiered stage like a birthday cake with Jon Anderson on the top. EPIC!! Ticket price: $9. LOL
You could try ABWH: the Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe (1989) album (i.e. YES minus Chris), a return to prog. after the commercial pablum of their other 80s stuff.
Plenty more albums with your favorite and my favorite singer Jon A. Rick does come back too but their later material (like "The Ladder," "Keys to Ascension," etc.) is worth checking out. He came back in early 80s and stayed until 2004.
@Pope., when you do Cinema Show, you ought to include the following track, "Aisle of Plenty", as it effectively is the closing section of "Cinema Show".
I'm sure you will meet your soulmate one of these days. As of now you've made a connection with all us fellow YES lovers. I suggest doing some songs from The Ladder album. "It Will Be a Good Day." How about doing a reaction to Frankie Valle one of the oldest singers of all time if not the oldest ever. He will be 90 in May and is still touring right now at age 89. He's been singing for over 70 yrs. He must hold the record for oldest singer and probably the longest. And his voice is still good. I saw him a few years ago and he sounded great. Checkout this concert from last year age 88. ua-cam.com/video/LGss0QuUv6k/v-deo.html or checkout the 4th of July concert he did in 2014 at the capital. "Grease", "Can't Take my eyes off of You" and "Let's Hang On" : ua-cam.com/video/cZcsImgGmRY/v-deo.html
Did it do a freaky speeding up at a few points to you? Mine went weird toward the end. If so you may want to listen to a different version. It was perfect other than that. A favorite. My young nephew used to listen to it on headphones and fall asleep smiling. He was like 3. So cute.
Its not my favorite, but I like this album. I do think it suffered from bad sound production..but that has nothing to do with the material. Classic Yes moments throughout. This is one of their best ballads...I urge you to check out the live version from Keys to Ascension..Andersons vocals are even stronger!!....Cheers!
This was not the end of Yes, Jon Anderson and Wakeman return to YES. In various incarnations of the band...The Yes story could have ended there, but didn't. Albums like Drama and 90125 are striking in the energy level of the band and the production of the those and subsequent albums were so cutting edge becoming high water marks in the music industry. The musicianship never dips. The songs always seem fresh to th ear. Some fans seem polarized about whereYES went after "Toromato", but the music that came after and before IS the YES story. No part of their musical output is any less then any other. The one thing that has been a constant with YES is CHANGE.
It’s about one of two things or perhaps both….to his wife or his higher power. But I have another song you might like and that’s a song called Chloe Dancer Crown of Thorns by the band Mother Love Bone. It’s a sad song, a song about struggling with one’s inner demons, drugs. Take a listen. ❤R.I.P. Andrew Woods
Many "purists" didn't like Tormato because it wasn't as "Proggy" as their previous efforts ... I don't care. It was a joy to listen to and the prog purists are just unwilling to embrace musical evolution in a band.
It is very much a good album. The least of the classic era maybe, but not last in their total discography by any means. My only issue is half of the second side, Circus of Heaven and Arriving UFO are painful to listen to for me. That being said, I would listen to those two songs on a loop before listening to much of the pop music now. Onward is a beautiful song and among their best.
While I like every song on this album, it's not one of their best albums. It's very good, and very enjoyable to listen to, but it's a step down from their best albums.
I got to see yes in concert in 95 at the Allentown fairgrounds😊 but they they just aren't my type of band I don't know why not for me but I do enjoy your contact 😂and if you want to switch things up maybe we could check out some Grateful Dead❤ help on the way, Slipknot, Franklin's tower is a great trio together
They were kind of pressured by Atlantic records to get the next album out. So Tormato was kind of rushed, recording-wise. Still, there are some great songs on it! And the 78/79 tours were fantastic!!!
Miss your Yes reactions Pope. Remember long while ago, finding your copious Yes reactions. You could hardly contain yourself, Jon's voice especially. Nice to see you again good sir. 😊
I played this song for my wife at our wedding. Beautiful song & sentiment.
YES! 😊
Thanks for all the YES. Best band, ever. Period.
It's just a beautiful song. Mystical. ❤ Thanks Pope.
Goosebumps. That's a good one. 💚 Jon
My favorite vocalist too with a very spiritual song!
A very underated song in there catalog. Pope so glad to hear your love for the best band in the world! Onward yes fan ❤
Miss your YES reactions, please do more , best band ever.🙏🏻
YES Top 5 bands in my book.
Beautiful song and YES we all want/ need to feel this in our lives💙
RIP Chris Squire. Amazing song...
Remains one of my favourite songs period, not just Yes songs. The song speaks to connection, on both a personal and spiritual level. Thanks, Pope!
I totally agree!❤☮️
Jon and Rick did come back for the Keys to Ascension albums. Another great YES reaction!
YES YES

And you are right The message and music does come from the Cosmos. 😊😊😊
Thanks for coming back to Yes ❤

It doesn't come from the stars but within you! A hug from Portugal.

Thanks for breathing some life back into me.
More great YES tracks from the album Keys to Ascension Studio with Jon, Chris, Steve, Alan and Rick. That, That is, Be the one and Mind Drive
So nice to enjoy Yes with a fellow Yesfan.
Fellow Yesfans.❤

Great song Pope , thank you 👍🙏
This is a great album. The tour had the stage in the center of the arena- in the round. The stage revolved so everyone had a great view. Amazing
Love what you said afterwards. I feel it too. They're my favorite band and I wish I knew all of them; especially Jon.
I had lunch with Jon (of course, I bought) in Chicago at Carmine's. Then he signed about 20 different items for me. Then, he invited me to be VIP at that night's Chicago show. What a day.

Hey Pope! Onward is a beautiful song written by Chris Squire. Enjoy!🔈🔉🔊😎

But glad for people like you to catch up on what I missed. This was beautiful.
real Masterpiece !YES😎
Check out the Ladder album Pope. Very underrated IMO. 4/5 I'd say
Beautiful song
Nobody does it better Pope than the greatest band there ever was or ever will be!🤩
👍😎
I love your connection to one of my favorite bands.
I love your reactions. You are very perceptive
Tormato" is a Masterpiece album of Yes. You should explore it and the "Talk " album of Yes, released 1994. Excellent album. 😊😊😊😊
My man 👏👏

Tormato!!!
Written by Chris Squire.

Please react to the two live albums, Yessongs and Yesshows.
Please keep going through Yes' discography! Jon does a lot more with them! This isn't his last! There's even a couple albums that have both Jon and Rick! There's more!
You get it. Listen to the first song on the album. Incredibly spiritual and prophetic. Future Times
LOL
You must finish this album! It's one of my favs.
You could try ABWH: the Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe (1989) album (i.e. YES minus Chris), a return to prog. after the commercial pablum of their other 80s stuff.
Jon and Rick left after this album but they came back Jon with Yes in 1983 and Rick briefly with ABWH and then with Yes again with "Keys"
Plenty more albums with your favorite and my favorite singer Jon A. Rick does come back too but their later material (like "The Ladder," "Keys to Ascension," etc.) is worth checking out. He came back in early 80s and stayed until 2004.
If you r both saved youwill meet them
God bless you Pope
Pretty cool eh!
Cinema Show by Genesis
👍😎
@Pope., when you do Cinema Show, you ought to include the following track, "Aisle of Plenty", as it effectively is the closing section of "Cinema Show".
The live version from Keys to Ascension is even better, i think
Other songs to try might be Big Big Train: Ariel, Swan Hunter, Second Brightest Star, and their signature piece East Coast Racer.
I'm sure you will meet your soulmate one of these days. As of now you've made a connection with all us fellow YES lovers. I suggest doing some songs from The Ladder album. "It Will Be a Good Day." If you want to check out a truly beautiful song with Jon Anderson try So long ago So clear with Vangelis
Please check out Pierre Morlin's Gong. "Downwind" is one of the best instrumental albums released the 1970s.
Have you reacted to Homeworld yet? It's a later YES track.

BTW, Drama was the only album without Jon.
Besides the recent releases from 2011's "Fly from Here" thru 2023's " Mirror to the Sky". All without Jon A. unfortunately!
FINISH THE ALBUM!!!! Don’t know why it wasn’t critically acclaimed…. An Excellent album!
While I like every song on this album, it's not one of their best albums. It's very good, and very enjoyable to listen to, but it's a step down from their best albums.
Are you done doing Yes reactions? It’s been 4 months…
It was referred to as "Son of Relayer"... disappointing some but not me.

Spiritual, not a term I’ve ever associated with Yes. Appropriate. And the Anderson Wakeman team continues even today.
I can tell you why people do not like the LP. It was not as good as, as amazing as, the LP before; Going For The One.
They were kind of pressured by Atlantic records to get the next album out. So Tormato was kind of rushed, recording-wise. Still, there are some great songs on it! And the 78/79 tours were fantastic!!!
