The UTG Overbore removes bi-pod loading induced stock flex. It also causes the firearm to seek level on its own. Allows panning too.

There are other ‘over bore’ bipods at $400+ and 600+……
I wish UTG sold extra spigots separately
    I bought GRS. Work well.

UTG should not be overlooked by anyone who needs good products at reasonable prices. They're consistently a very good value. Especially the UTG Pro line; which is better quality and made in the 🇺🇸

Yeah UA-cam really has hit my channel hard. Thank you for the compliment Will, I'm trying hard to break the alg's but youtube strikes pretty hard against 2A channels like mine. Sharing videos helps a ton if you ever see something worth sharing, please don't hesitate and thank you in advance!

I use a $59 Harris on my 300 win mag and shoot sub moa all day. The trick is getting the best ammo for your particular rifle. Never put much stock in the bipod as far as how well I shot. Maybe I'll look into it more.

The UTG is superior in terms of stability its just physics. The others the gun wants to tip over they are far less stable.

I tried uuq, fairly sturdy even with stud attachment but it was too high even at 45°. Hope utg will be better

My money is on The UTG! The qd attachment alone is a winner. When over bore it is a game changer.

the Atlas is way over priced for what you get.The UTG Over Bore is the best of these 3.Ive had them All.I use a Phoenix for long range competition. I noticed you had the Atlas on your best rifle. You should have shown us how much play was on the Atlas on a rifle. Its just as wobbly as the others. The only thing is has is quick detachability for PRS.I ran a CykePod with no problems in PRS.Good video.

I have a UTG and i hate it... I also have a RH50 12:00 270mm and love it the UTG just has too much flex, it oscillates, its not solid and it sits a heap higher than the RH.
The I mounted it to the RPR and chased myself around the paper.
Pulled it off and measured it out and the 'pod was warped (1/8" twisted) sent it back for sent another and similar issue in the other direction.

Honestly, I would not have thought that the type of bipod would matter this much! If I were shooting competition, I agree with you, these results are indeed, "compelling"!
Mark, of "Mark & Sam after Work" also discussed putting slight forward pressure against the bipod legs, "loading the bipod" as you were making ready to fire the shot. I haven't done any work of my own yet to determine how that might effect my shooting, have you? And what results have you gotten if you have? Thanks for a very informative and helpful video my friend!

Hey Titus, great questions. Yes in my experiences, you can't always load the same way on the bipod. Icey surface slip, smooth surfaces slide, rough surfaces may grip too much, exc. I am familiar with Mark and Sams video, and I'd say if you were consistently shooting on grass or dirt - you could probably get away with a fair bit of preload. For me, very little forward load, just enough that I can replicate it on the surfaces I shoot off of frequently. To each his own for sure!

Any decent bipod you can think of that mount directly to a sling swivel stud? I have a pre war model 70 in .280 that has a ludicrously expensive custom French walnut stock and I’d rather not mess with it too much and a pic rail would look absurd on it. And I don’t think the $70 Caldwell bipods I have are very good at all. Thanks.

@@GTMGunTotinMinnesotan thanks, I feel foolish because I have a Harris too. I guess I was hoping to find something really really nice, like the atlas’s quality or the UTG. Btw, is that PSA’s heavy profile 1:7 18” SS upper that the atlas overbore bipod is on? I have one too and was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy.

I have an atlas on my LWRC reaper 2, 6.5 Creedmoor. That particular gun is too heavy for that bipod. Just purchased the UTG overbore bipod. I’ll come back and let you know how it does.
