I thought I was set for 2nd grade until I started watching your videos. Now I'm hooked on Memoria Press and I love the First Language Lessons also. Right now we use the Good and The Beautiful for language arts and my daughter is doing wonderful but I feel like these two programs (with the enrichment program from Memoria also) would be such a wonderful combination.
@@EducationalRoots Awesome, I have a visual/auditory. Thank you for the reply. I ordered it and will be trying it with my children this year. I have two close in age, so I am hoping this will help by doing the work together.
In level 2 FLL dictation ramps up, but it’s never original sentences. We just finished WWE 1, and it wasn’t in there either. I really feel like WWE in levels 1 & 2 is more of a copywork and (oral) reading comprehension (because you’re reading to them) program, rather than writing. Hence why I also used IEW.
Anyday Blessings I haven’t used Bible heroes myself, but in the school I do consulting for they use it and the first grade teacher complains it’s too hard. I was under the impression that they’re key word outlining and creating sentences from the KWO like the other levels. No?
Anyday Blessings For what grade? I LOVE FLL 1 & 2. I’ve used 3 and 4 in the past. They diagram. IEW doesn’t. So I’m debating FLL 3 for 3rd because I will do Fix It 1 in 4th. But nothing besides MB LLFLE discusses ALL parts of speech in 3rd grade. And I don’t want to use MB, but I also don’t want her to lose everything she learned in 1 & 2, because knowing all the parts of speech is SO helpful moving into Fix It. I don’t really want to start Fix It in 3rd either...lol!!
Clarification: No other programs besides MB LLFALE 3 and FLL 3 teach all parts of speech. Literally, I can’t find anything else, not even MP in 3rd grade.

Rolanda Bradley Oh yes, it’s a wonderful combo! We are so happy with MP and FLL!
Great flip through. This was very helpful. Thanks
You’re welcome
These printables are gold!
They're super helpful!
Very helpful. Thank you!
Considering This program as well as Memoria Press. Which do you prefer & why?
Nurgeo Hi! I am using both Memoria Press and FLL. FLL takes less than 5 minutes. I think it’s a great supplement. I love the memorization.
This looks great. What kind of learner would you say this is good for?
Educando del corazón Homeschool I’d say it’s really good for an auditory learner, but it really does hit all the learning styles.

Educando del corazón Homeschool This is definitely something you can do together! I hope you enjoy it!
Which level do they start writing original sentences versus copywork?
Anyday Blessings That isn’t really covered in FLL. That would be more in Writing with Ease. I think that’s maybe level 3. Let me check.

@@EducationalRoots well, I just got Bible heroes in the mail and even still they don't come up with original content there either.

@@EducationalRoots yes they do. I thought they'd start with this is a sentence. Lol, guess not.
Guess what I'm looking at now....lol!
