In an older video of yours, you recommended at night using the niamicide at night following the alpha arbutin, then use the MAP (or ascorbyl Glucoside 12 since MAP isn't available), then the azaleic acid, and moisturizer. In the morning you recommended to use cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF. Which routine is better?

Hey, I had a question! For people who have PIH shouldn't chemical exfoliators work better as they shed the darkened skin rather than tyranoise inhibitors which will calm down the melanocyte initially but won't have any real impact after that?

Dr. V Thanks for just being honest with your reviews and informing us of products we can start with that won’t break our pockets, however letting us know about your products w/o pushing it onto us. That lets me know you’re truly about us making informed decisions about our skin and what we feel would be best and letting us choose our options. And knowing if nothing works then to look into your product kit. You are truly a blessing. I’m so happy you are not doing sponsorships so that we know your thoughts are truly based on what you know about product ingredients and who’s getting it right, slightly right or not so much. This is why I keep coming back to your videos to keep myself informed. I just found out about you last month and I am just amazed at what I am learning, and the products I need to stop using asap!…lol
I do have one question on this video. I’d the Good Molecules discoloration serum to be used in place of vit C used after Vit C or used as a moisturizer after vit C? I was a bit confused on that one. Thanks again!😊

Hi Dr V., I've been binge watching your videos this past month, and they are totally revamping my skincare routine. As east Asian at 40 , I noticed I am rapidly developing hyperpigmentation from acne scars and sun damage this past year. Using an older Ordinary routine you've recommended this past month, im already starting to see how my skin has calmed down from acne . Love what you are contributing to SOC skincare, thank you so much!
The earlier Ordinary layering routine for hyperpigmentation (from 2 years ago) recommended 5 actives in the night routine.
In this video from a week ago, you mentioned using layering above 3 actives are an overkill since the actives can't reach the skin when there are too many products. Can you clarify/confirm this point?

Thank you for this segment and being real raw with your audience about everything!! I’m sure most of us have felt the more we spend the better the result! Not true. I don’t suffer from acne but due to my PCOS I’m having the worse time with my hyperpigmentation. I see more dark spots form then I ever do acne. It’s almost depressing, and discouraging. Any other recommendations aside from topical products that might possibly help? Appreciate all feedback!!

Hi doctor V. 5:50 you Said not to add Many serums because it will not penetrate the skin by the time you reach the third serum. But in your video about layering for hyperpigmentation: you showed is to: double cleanse, alpha arbutin with hyaluronic, niacinamide, azelaic acid, retinol, then the moisturizer (PM ROUTINE). So im confused because that is the routine i am using right now

I’m a bit confused- you recommend (loosely) two vitamin c serums in this video but don’t highly rate them. But then in another video you said your favourite vitamin c on the market is by the ordinary - the ethylated ascorbic acid. Given the location of my hyperpigmentation and it being a place with a lot of friction, would you still recommend a gel moisturizer or is it enough with the exfoliants and vitamin c? Wondering if given the location, would the added layer of moisturizer clog my pores?

I would love to try your Hyperpigmentation Kit since you say it is stronger but before I buy it, it would be nice to see a demo of the product on your skin, that is, you not wearing any makeup, so we can see your raw skin and how it looks. I say this because I am willing to bet you use your product since one has to stand by their product. I see a lot of products from people who have created products for hyperpigmentation but never show the product on their bare skin without using makeup, filter, or any tricks one uses to create an illusion of clear skin.

Is Phenoxyethanol safe? It’s in a lot of the ordinary products. Where only supposed to be exposed to 1% but don’t that mean we are getting more by layering the product ?

I have the same issue! I get so humid and end up wiping all the makeup off my face 😂 I feel adding a setting spray makes it worse by clogging the pores.
I found a new bb cream tinted with SPF 50 where I live and it's been much better!! I realized I didn't need foundation.

I am 21 years old and had pigmentation on my face for 6 years and I have been using the facial pigmentation kit for over a year. I started using it on 23/06/2021 and I have finished my 4th facial pigmentation kit now. I have seen little difference in my face but I am not happy with the result because I expect my pigmentation will be gone after the first or second set but the pigmentation is still on my face😢. So my question is should I buy my 5th face pigmentation kit or just find other options? are there any side effects if i order my fifth set? according to how many facial pigmentation kits should stop buying or using if the pigmentation is still there?pls I need your help 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I'm not a dermatologist, but let me tell you that at your age, your skin is turning over very quickly. After a year, you're definitely looking at skin from since you started on this regimen. If you are following it religiously, then there is clearly something else you need. Might be in addition to the kit not instead of it. You really need to see a dermatologist, because there's something causing the hyperpigmentation still, and the kit is just removing what was already caused. You need to remove the cause, which is obviously persistent.
Are you using a zinc oxide sunscreen 365 days a year, even if you don't go outside that day or it is a grey day? Are you wearing hats and sunglasses outside? Are you controlling acne? Are you eating a healthy diet so that your skin has the vitamins and minerals it needs? Do you have any underlying medical conditions causing excessive inflammation or interfering with your purification organs (kidneys, liver, etc.)? What's going on with your hormone levels each month? Steady or sporadic? You need a doc who can dig into all this with you, not just someone giving general advice on the internet.

I have seen some videos on UA-cam about body skincare routine but would not have the confidence to follow those guidelines. I have been following your videos and I am seeing great improvement. Thank you in advance.

Hi Dr. V! I had a lot of pigmentation/melasma I don’t know the difference. and did a derma peel which cost me $1300 & presently using the Dermamelan mesoestetic kit. The patches are lighter but not totally gone. I watch your channel and am very impressed. Right now I have a concern that my wrinkles have increased. I would appreciate if you could advice me on a good treatment for wrinkles, I am thinking of doing a filler but would like your opinion & would like to apply a cream as well that will give me quick results & which I could use in the morning as I use dermamelan at night. When the dermamelan treatment is over I’d like to try your products for my dark patches. I would like to have your opinion on all I’ve written. Thank you!
