Fin du Chaos pour ma part, je suis sous le charme avec ce jeu ! Et bien content d’avoir tout cramé

Your advice on the water and step order saved me. I saved some time by starting from a quite complex zenithal of 3 colours (black / grey / almost white), but the tricks with the gulliman and greenish moss on the rocks were a-ma-zing. I usually do sponging for moss, but it would be extremely hard to reach the right places, while the greenish tinting gives the same visual impression with more realism and less effort.
I also let a tiny bit of the bluish overspray still shine below the thin grey stone corrections, in the places where the water should be reflected a bit. Another thing I tried was to have a darker wash near the water, and stronger drybrushing of the earth far from the water, giving the impression that the earth is wet next to the water.

Glad I helped! Good call with the appearance of the ground around the water appearing wetter.

I have it on my shelf and as a starting painter it looks daunting. Thank you for the video as it has given me a bit more confidence to have a go at it

Damn I'm not an age of sigmar fan but that's a really good model. The paint job did it justice

You know the funny thing is I would do more 40k models but the AOS models are just awesome.

Looks fantastic! Try UV-actvared super glue for that huge seam at the belt line. Worked for me, but the sanding took forever. Also, Temple Guard Blue can be made from Baharroth and Sotek blended.

UV activated glue? Interesting... But as for that large crack I did a short second vid on another shrine where I focused and trying something different. I used Miliput and sended the soft miliput with a wet brush and it did the job well-ish.

Great video - but I have a question!
Your choice of thunderhawk blue was just following the box art scheme right?
So my LRL army main colour is purple - would you recommend rather thunderhawk blue being used as a wash for the arch using a purple instead?
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the question! So yes Thunderhawk blue was my best guess to replicate the box art. It was used to add a blue tint to the arch stone work.
To match your armies color and theme you can use an appropriate purple instead. I would think something dark like Xereus purple or even darker with naggaroth night.
To be safe, dilute the color heavily with water or lahmian medium, then apply thin washes and dry them with a hairdryer for speed or just let it dry natural. If you think the color works well add more layers to darken as you see fit.
      Hope this helps!

thanks for this! when you say you have to use the rigth psi to not make it grainy, is that low or high? ie will it be grainy if I use too high or too low pressure? (new to airbrushing but I have this problem, in particular with whites) cheers

    • @joyfulpainting700

If it's to low it will come out grainy regardless. Higher is smoother. But this will not work with whites. That's why I use off whites like palid witch flesh.
IF you want to use Pure white in an airbrush, don't get a paint, get an INK instead. A white ink through the airbrush won't be grainy.
