This video really highlights the importance of reliable machinery in agriculture. The way the John Deere 4755 powers through the field with the Horsch Cruiser makes it look effortless! However, I can’t help but think about maintenance and the long-term costs of owning such a large tractor. For those who have owned a 4755 or similar models, what has your experience been with maintenance? Is it worth the investment compared to smaller tractors that might be more cost-effective?
I worked at a job shop building horsch roll-flex's , baskets and frames. Worked in every part of the shop. The bare metal parts left there, went to paint then off to two different assembly facilities in ND and SD.
That's a really late model 4755 I've only seen one with the exhaust pipe on the side like the 60 series tractors that came right after them. As for the big tires think of like this the more rubber u have on the ground the better!!
Where's the air-intake and pre-filter? I had never realised the 4*55 had a clear view over the bonnet/hood (except for the frame of the cab, of course). Tick-over sounds a little unsteady. In our 4250 we were told by the dealer to put the revs at 1500 if left ticking-over for anything beyond short periods to limit coke build-up. The powershift gearbox was awesome.
Thats the first john deer tractor I remember Im from Czech republik there where no john deer tractor till that day untill farmer start buyng different tractors then czech Zetor this is first usa tractor I remember
Me mata como todos se sorprenden por el sonido de este tractor.. todos los motores americanos de esa época sonaban así.. no sé cual era el secreto, si los materiales de los pistones o el diseño de las tapas de cilindros.. no sabria sinceramente
Any other videos of tractors on big floatations like that? Also, I don't know what the hell anyone is supposed to do when they run across a car coming down the road the opposite direction LOL
nope , wrong , you dont get better traction i should know we used terra tyre when they first came out back in early eighties , there used for flotation purposes not for more pulling power !! they sit on top & spin when you load em up !!!

Awesome!, a tractor that you drive, not a tractor that drives you. Farming used to be about skill and experience, now its click and forget, modern times now.
The total width must be a maximum of 3.0 meters, and applies only from farm to field. If you "just" drive around without something, it must be a maximum of 2.55 meters wide. Note, he lacks the statutory red triangle that is mandatory for slow-moving vehicle.

Impressive sound, gigantic tyres.
What do axles think about your new wheels?
They love it

My favorite tractor is the one I own, it's a 'RollsHardly'. Rolls down one hill and hardly up the other!
We had the Rollscnardly .. rolls down the hill and can hardly get up the next 😂
Wow, I have not seen such a powerful John Deere before
Bravo colleagues

It’s due to the layout of the engine… it’s an inline 6 that gives it that distinct sound.
Dang that 3 point drop is quick
Sounds and looks awesome but I fear something will break soon with the stress on the transmission and speeds when tilling.
I agree!

Awesome machine. Just one question- why you're using those massive wheels?
For more traction and with better traction you get lower fuel consumption
Anf flotation...
And they help reduce compaction
Thanks guys 👍

Secondo me queste gomme sono sovradimensionate per questa macchina!
If that tractor was a 55 series the muffler should be in the middle of the hood.. That's a 4960 tractor
Longoria1966 says 4755 on the hood. You don't know squat.
In America JD 60 series was the first to have the muffler on corner post. JD 55 series are in the hood. That confused me also.
It’s European
Longoria1966 No such thing as a 4960 in Europe, they kept the 4955 name when updating
Sean McGeeney I was gunna try to explain that cuz it’s European it’s badged differently
How wide tires is it?

Sounds like it's gonna burn clutch out. Maybe it's not pulling down like it sounds or to high of a gear
is JD a rare tractor in Denmark?
How do they install the front counterweight? With another tractor?
It works exactly like the rear 3 point. He hooks it and lifts it just like in the rear.

Why were the brassicas grown... ? Seems a lot a diesel to build a small amount of bio-mass into the soil.
