This video is definitely way up there with one of my favorite vids ive filmed.
So much action fishing a beautiful clear water beachy/ bay area on the ultra light setup. Fished topwater lures and soft plastics. Catching a number of different species. But the highlight fish for today was by far the salmon. They go so hard, and pull alot of string when fishing light gear. HIGHLY recommend.

Rod - Daiwa TD Hyper 7 foot 4, 1-2kg
Reel - Daiwa Luvias 2500
lures - Bait Junkie 2.5inch minnow in the colour blood worm & pearl green
Daiwa Slippery Dog 97f (colour whitebait)
Braid - 8lb J-braid
Leader - 10lb FcRock

Hey Josh video idea depending on the biggest fish in your area try doing the food chain challenge. Like find a little crab then catch a salmon or tailor or something on it then use that for like a stingray, shark even like a big Trevally or snapper

Hey josh been watching for a couple of weeks just subscribed then because I realised I wasn’t already but I live in Queensland so Currumbin creek in palm beach and if you were able to make a video in Currumbin creek I’d get pretty hyped up because we always fish in there don’t get much there’s plenty in there but don’t bite great for flathead, bream and whiting if you do I’m staying really updated but you probably don’t live anywhere near it I just see the nsw number plates I basically live on the border
(Edit): could you try out this lure it’s called the savage gear 3D 4play swim bait can’t really remember the name but it’s segmented into 4 bits and looks a lot like a herring I just got the normal herring colour but yeah it be good if you could give that a try I’ve got a UA-cam shorts of it too
I’m looking to get a good fishing kayak but I do want it to be under a grand I’ve got one like I’ve found one one it just doesn’t have the pedals wich I would like so I don’t get wet from the paddles I just figured you might know because you’ve got a good one but it doesn’t really matter (edit again) about currumbin creek yeah well thats a big no i just reaized your 11 hours away atleast i know if i ever drove to melbourne id stop in for a good flatty fish

great vid just got onto holidays in sydney and even with the rain theres mad salmon if you ever come to sydney make sure to fish rushcutters bay if your wanting a king i have fished there my whole life and have caught multiple there

You said “This isn’t Queensland” but tell you what, I’d trade a day or two any day to fish those beautiful bloody perfect clear southern beaches and rocks again. And what a species count!
