    Nice vlog Stuart, pleasure meeting you at your gallery on Wednesday, although short and brief. ( the wife ). You’ve gave me some ideas for processing my images of similar locations. 👍

    Love the subtlety in your edit Stuart and a great tip to help summer photography. I also, would be interested in an overview of the Mac studio, particularly the specification and how you arrange your storage etc

    A great production Stuart, it certainly confirmed to me that keeping things simple during the post production phase is the key, something that i have up until now failed to appreciate.

    Welcome back 🙂 The haze gives the image great depth. Don't fight it, enhance it. A great photograph, love it 😊😊😊

    I was in the Lakes 2 weeks ago, hopeful of getting in some good, moody lakeland photography that reminded me of my childhood trips in the 70s/80s, that always involved sweaters and a kagol, but alas it was 26-29 degrees every day with wall to wall blue skies, so I got more of a postcard version! I need to leave my wife and dogs at home and head up at the rougher end of the year methinks.

    Have to confess to not going out with camera very much in summer; sunrise is too early, but the odd sunset is OK. I remember having to adjust my D600 to play down the greens. Lovely image in the end, thanks for sharing.

      Thanks yeah it can be a bit of a struggle this time of year, I don’t mind getting up so much but the light and changeable weather is really lacking most of the time for me.

    Enjoyed this Stuart as its always enjoyable to see the various approaches to editing and with the recent updates to Lightroom and ACR along with the latest updates to Photoshop, the additional functionality really offers up so much more scope for editing whatever your preferred method is. Enjoy the new Mac studio too

    Welcome back! Thanks for showing us how you combat the greens, that photo was lovely, and as you said, introducing that little bit of haze gave some lovely subtle separation from the trees. As for others rushing around producing videos, Thomas Heaton had to go all the way to Svalbard to escape the hot weather! 😂 A Mac is one of the things on my list when retirement arrives, think it will be a laptop that I can plug my BenQ into rather than something like the Studio though, nice to hear that it works well for you though, and a bit more ‘me time’ (you time?) is never a bad thing. Look forward to seeing you on here again when you can.

    Thanks Stuart. Very interesting how you made subtle changes but which really made a difference. The views from Tom Heights look spectacular - pity that it's had a thick blanket of mist when I've been up there which was frustrating. But that's the name of the game. Hope you get a good summer in the gallery. All the best 👍

    Hi Stuart another great video as always only wish it was summer green here is Aussie , it was so great to meet you in person at your shop in Keswick and apologies for getting your name wrong ( I think it was the nerves of meeting you in person ) . Keswick is such a busy busy place we where going to come back the next day but we drove to Winderrmere to have a look around there but was so much to see but we tried on the way back to get another car park at Keswick but totally full. Hopefully youwill put out the framing video soon lol Great work

    Nice one Mr, must be 18months since I was up there, its a lovely place but never done it in summer or sunset, only Sunrise as the light hit the Langdales, but gonna have to give it ago after seeing this 🥰📷👍🏻

    Interesting to see how you handle the summer greens, better than my option which is to ease off on my photography over summer. Strangely, whilst I've walked over Tom Heights, I've never been with my camera. Something that I may have to rectify in the future. Thanks for the upload.

    Nice work, good to see a video from you again. I researched the hike to get to Tom Heights, it was not favorably reviewed and was also considered dangerous and very tricky. Since you didn't mention it, you must have had an easy time with it. I would enjoy a review of the Mac Studio.

    Love the way you explain why you are doing the edits. Hopefully I can remember long enough to apply to some of my images 😂
    Holding alt in the HSL sliders now greys out the unaffected areas do think it's a helpful feature?

    • @StuartMcGlennon
      @StuartMcGlennon  Рік тому

      Yeah i noticed that actually after doing this, they've made some really great changes in lightroom lately, you can also reduce saturation from a localised curve adjustment which works the same as luminosity blend mode in photoshop. It's nice to able to get virtually all of the editing done in lightroom now.
