    Or you can get a USB-C male to Lighting cable male and just connect the phone to the Podtrak P4. Make sure that you are plugging the USB-C to the one that has the symbol, not the one that says "DSC 5V"

      I'm no help because i have no knowledge of those products. I'm thinking if it has a USB-c that can connect to your laptop, you should be able to see your Zoom device as an input in Zoom - but that's only if it works similarly to podtrak p4. So once everything is set up, do you hit record on the podtrak first or on the camera? Also given that it is an iPhone I’ll be trying this with, would it just keep recording for as long as it can? So to speak.

    • @StephanieLin
      @StephanieLin  Рік тому

      If you are recording the audio on the iphone, you won't need to hit record on the Podtrak unless you want a backup track. The order here doesn't matter, but probably makes more sense to start the podtrak recording first. As for length, if you're recording with the iPhone Voice app, then it should record as long as the app and space allows.

    Hello, if I put audio on my computer (a track) to sing along with, how do I get the clear audio in the my video. Like when I record a tiktok video I sing with the music in the back but only my voice is heard well, the music is quiet and not clear. Do you have any solutions? Thanks 🙏!

    • @StephanieLin
      @StephanieLin  7 місяців тому +1

      I think you'll have to put the original audio track and your voice track (just the singing) together in post production! So when you record you probably have to wear a headphone where you can hear the music and sync the tracks together in editing.

    • @Bob9961
      @Bob9961 11 місяців тому

      Yes, you can use your phone as a recording device. And to correct Stephanie, the PodTrak P4 records each track, and sound pad, in separate files, as well as a stereo mix of all of them. Also, Stephanie plugs her phone into a headphone output, which you definitely do not have to do. The USB interface is the ticket here. The manual (and many UA-cam presentations) gives the steps required.

    • @StephanieLin
      @StephanieLin  11 місяців тому

      @@Bob9961 The P4 can record on individual tracks but not when we use the headphone output on the iPhone - everything is on the same track on the output. I've never tried that myself because I don't have a USBC to Lightning converter, but are you able to use the Lightning cable as a MIC input on the iPhone? Love to know the answer. Thanks!

    Confused on this one. Why are you plugging in the phone to one of the four monitor plugs? Wouldn't it go in port 3 for the phone jack?

    • @StephanieLin
      @StephanieLin  Рік тому +2

      That’s because if you use the phone jack, that means you’re using the iPhone microphone as an input. In this video, I’m trying to show how to use XLR mics as the mic input on the iPhone (not using the iPhone microphone).

    • @SuperWolfkin
      @SuperWolfkin Рік тому +1

      Port 3 is the phone jack but that's only if you want what's happening on your phone to be recorded as part of the audio. Typically used when you want to record the audio to the SD card. The OP is making a video on how to record the audio directly to the camera feed. Now, since you can use the headphone jack to monitor what's being recorded, you can just instead of plugging that into a headphone plug that into the mic input on your phone and now you're able to record what's being sent on the microphones through the directly to the recording on the phone

    • @SuperWolfkin
      @SuperWolfkin Рік тому

      @@heatwavereefer671so the pod track has four headphone outputs, each of which can hear all the audio that's being recorded. The setup that the OP is suggesting here would have one of the headphones used as a microphone into the iPhone so that audio goes straight into the recording and they're still three other headphone jacks that are being used. You can use any one of those and you will be able to hear the same audio that's being recorded
