1 አቤቱ፥ ወደ አንተ ጮኽሁ ስማኝ ወደ አንተ ስጮኽም የልመናዬን ቃል አድምጥ።
2 ጸሎቴን በፊትህ እንደ ዕጣን ተቀበልልኝ፥ እጅ መንሣቴም እንደ ሠርክ መሥዋዕት ትሁን።
3 አቤቱ፥ ለአፌ ጠባቂ አኑር፥ የከንፈሮቼንም መዝጊያ ጠብቅ።
4 ልቤን ወደ ክፉ ነገር አትመልሰው፥ ዓመፃን ከሚያደርጉ ሰዎች ጋር ለኃጢአት ምክንያት እንዳልሰጥ ከምርጦቻቸውም ጋር አልተባበር።

And if you cry at the sound of harmonies in foreign tongues, it is because your conscious pride has no defense against Truth it does not understand -- your spirit can only rebel against Truth, in the language of your own lies. So, listen to this music, because it defeats your pride, which is killing you. Find something to grab onto... a branch, and pull yourself out of the pit that you are digging. Step up and stand on some words, that are just high enough to reach that branch. And climb out into the world of truth and reality, and God.
