A good question! Yes, I shoe goo all parts of the costume, and I put a particular focus on making sure all seams are well covered. I've worn my armor for hundreds of hours now and have had to make very minimal repairs thanks to how much durability this adds :)
Awesome awesome awesome😄, I’m working on a Spartan I started with the helmet I’m not a fan of Eva foam I have not had any good times with it 😂 Keep up the great work, this helps a lot !!
I recommend using Contact Cement (e.g. Barge) instead because hot glue has a tendency to fall apart. Shoe goo isn't the adhesive, it's used as extra reinforcment on the inside to make it extra strong. Hot Glue + Shoe Goo may work fine, but it wouldn't be as strong as CC + Shoe Goo
Good questions. I use 10mm TNT foam, and I glue these onto gloves using E6000. I'll show how that's done eventually, but that's going to be a while as I have to finish the suit first. Does that help?
Actually yeah. I'd recommend these gloves they're what I used on my own costume and they look amazing amzn.to/2XPNMyd Required disclaimer: that's an amazon affiliated link and I may recieve a commision from purchases made under it
Pls continue doing this stuff
I'm definitely still making tutorials :)
Awesome good to hear
Nicely done video
Thanks Heath :D
love the new intro for the series!
Thanks! Took the suit out for a spin on Halloween :)
This is some good high quality content dude. 😁
Thank you!
This is amazing and so helpful. Thank you for posting these. I wish I saw these before I attempted my build.
Thanks! Glad I could help
@@RandomRangerCosplayu never did the helmet 😢
Sorry if you've clarified/answered this before since I just got into this series. Do you use Shoe Goo for all the parts of the whole costume?

Nice video bro, everything was well put together and I learned right away 👍
Thanks, that's great to hear!
Came from instagram, love your armor, really accurate, nice content bro keep on going
Thanks! If a goof like me can make armor, I wanna show that anyone can :-)
I can already imagine myself using these as regular gloves while gaming for example. 😃
Hahaha there ya go!
Hey just wondering where the link for the template is? if you could tell me that'll be great!
My apologies! It must've been accidentally deleted when I updated the description. I've added it back in :)
Yessss, ask and you shall receive 😂
\0/ I asked for youtube to come back online, and look what happend :D

Awesome! Well, hopefully I can help alleviate some of the anxieties around EVA Foam :-)
Interesting shoe glue. Don’t you recommand hot glue?

@@RandomRangerCosplay no I use Contact cement of course. But inside I used to use hot glue instead of shoe glu. That was my question ☺️
@@sergueichidyvar oh yeah. A lot people do that instead yeah. It's not as strong, but it's a lot cheaper and less toxic :)
How thick does the eva foam have to be for each part?
You can use a wide variety of thicknesses, anywhere from 6->12mm. Personally, I use 10mm. Harbor Freight foam is ~6mm.
Also, always gotta use that shoe goo XD
Yup!
Hi, i want to do the cosplay but the files don´t open
Oh, i just realize that i have to open with pepakura
Weird every time I open the handplate file it sends me to flip flop hmmm m
Are you opening it in Pepakura Viewer or Armorsmith?
@@RandomRangerCosplay no I don't think a can
Download it cuz I have Android so that might be the case I don't know but I can't open it so sad
@@Jurassic_Files yeah you'll need a pc to be able to open it. No real way around that unfortunately
@@RandomRangerCosplay ok thank you all try on my computer
what thickness foam do you use and how do you attach them to your gloves? are they just glued on or fastened by velcro/magnets/elastic band/ etc.?
Good questions. I use 10mm TNT foam, and I glue these onto gloves using E6000. I'll show how that's done eventually, but that's going to be a while as I have to finish the suit first. Does that help?
@@RandomRangerCosplay yes it does, thank you :D
keep up the awesome work, this series is extremely helpful
