This is at the correct performance pitch!! 99.9% of the sources for this unique 1964 Scala performance run badly sharp, obviously too fast. The only exception has been the NUOVA ERA issue that I can no longer find anywhere. Please, please, PLEASE tell me what source you used for this hexed performance? You've broken the #$%/÷"%_# curse on this performance. You found a source at the correct speed!! What source was it?!
This is from the Myto CD, which sounds better than any of the other CD edition I’ve come across. But the software I use to further improve the sound has a pitch/speed modification feature, so I can fix pitch issues in general. Myto’s pitch was already good, however. Glad you enjoyed!
@@matOpera Definitely did enjoy this -- Yes! Thank you! In fact, I'm surprised I don't see any thank you from me from earlier this season, since I've been recommending this timeless upload to all and sundry for months now! Am delighted to know you did not need to tweak the pitch on this MYTO issue. But I can't imagine why I was so tardy in saying Thank you! Maybe I somehow thought I had sent one through already.
@@armandosanchez4978 Yes, we all we feel slightly sadistic knowing the man behind the airy otherworldly voice could not stand the stage although his voice gave the written melodies such power and beauty.

He was tremendous.

hatred is crucial to high art
taught himself how to sing and hated singing and through that prism he sang as an angel sings
If i recall he said he loved singing but hated the stage fright and anxiety he felt before performing.
