Just to bring it up, it might not always work if you attempt to use the + sign in your email address when you’re signing up for Certain types of accounts. For example, if you apply for a bank account and try to use this technique, they’re going to do an identity verification and your email address will be part of that. Or it might even just failed their format email validation rules.
I can’t say that I’ve verified any of this myself, but it’s just a thought. I do recall years ago I tried to open an web account of some sort with the + email address, and it wouldn’t let me move forward because it thought it was an invalid address.
Just a sidenote, I do know a bit about bank identity verification and risk ratings, and part of that risk rating is they check how long a particular email address has been in use. If it’s a brand new email address, you’ll be flagged with a bit higher risk or as someone who might be trying to apply with a synthetic or stolen identity.
The thought is correct, I have also tested creating alternative emails with the "+", but for some services it does not work.
This is great! Only problem is that email addresses get sold. :(
That's true. And this is one way to know who sold you out!

I've tried using this "+" hack for my gmail address in signing up for various things and not allowed to proceed more often than not. If you want to be helpful, do some more experimenting to figure out where it will work and where not to bother trying it.
