those piano skills. hot damn
Screenager sadly is one of their most underrated song/music . . . it's sad of how this very beautiful, elegant, yet dark, mystical/mysterious & profound song can be so much underrated . . . people/humans . . . where is your Soul ?? ...
i put screenager in a film
You're just so much deeper than the rest of us peasants. Maybe one day we can all achieve your level of sophistication and soulfulness.
Its beautiful. I adore it. I remember once I listened to it again and again. Then I listened to Albinoni's Adagio (that its actually not from Albinoni) again and again. Then I listen another time screenager. Then Albinoni's adagio. Then screenager. I was doing this alternating melodies for about 2 or 3 hours. It was like being on drogs. Both melodies are so beautiful, its like being in heaven.
Shut up
yes, along with spiral static... man i miss those days.
it's me or this song is incredibly underrated? i mean, i love it.
0:38-1:04 Butterflies and Hurricanes 2 years before Absolution.
SnakeEater866 There are videos of Matt playing the solo well before this. I'm fairly sure he plays it at one point on the making of Showbiz.
SnakeEater866 More amazing than that, look into the very short "Making of Showbiz" video. For a moment, you hear him playing it in that, too.
Yeah, I saw those as well a while after I posted that comment, it seems like he was working on that solo for quite a while.
SnakeEater866 Strangely, it seemed more complete in the Showbiz video, as far as I can remember.
You guys are confusing two different pieces here. The first piece in this video is a cover of Rachmaninov, then followed by an early version of the Butterflies solo (which also is very similar to Rachmaninov). This was one year before Absolution btw, not two.
Then the part you're talking about in the making of Showbiz isn't from the solo, it's the intro to what became Butterflies, and he's playing the bass part as well.
uhh hows it go...
(plays it perfectly)
Confirmed...this song is an absolute masterpiece....done even better live...how?
Matt's hair!!!
thumbs up if you think that MUSE should bring back "Screenager" and "Space Dementia" to the tracklist
I almost forgot how beautiful his performance
This live version so mindblowing and mysterious to me
Oooh early butterflies in there :D this is amazing! I can't wait to see this song live, its one of their more "forgotten songs " by them when they choose their setlists now :) Can't wait!
4:17 I KNEW Matt wasn't a cyborg playing all those piano parts. Freaking love this song and version
Synth's sound
Best piano intro an outro of any Muse performance ever.
Matt starts with almost a direct adaptation of Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in G Minor!! He’s like a mad scientist at that piano
Screenager, Space Dementia and Ruled by Secrecy as well
I hope they bring back Screenager one day, with a piano performance like this... Fantastic stuff.
Matthew's golden hands! 😍😍😍
Flavia Michelotto I wonder if his hands are insured lol
what a master of the piano
Man how I love they are floating here between OoS and Absolution. You can sence a bit more chill playing but still that Muse edge on it. A bit more seriouse but still a lot of fun. ❤❤❤
Fabulous love Matt playing the piano it is so beautiful could watch this for ever.
wow. piano skill including parts of butterflies and hurricanes :) . true skill.
Whooooo youuuu weeerrrreee...... Was sooo beaauuuuuutifulllll...... Rememberrrrrrrr..... Whoooo... You weree....
Masterful and beautiful performance. Along with Dom and Chris, Matt makes this such a moving song, can't help but become emotionally involved and caught up in the moment.
This gives me so much feelings.
i love how he does some rachmaninoff esque prelude :D
no matt, ur beautiful :)
BTW that is probably the most amazing setlist ive seen, id kill to be at that concert... i wish i was there soooo bad
they should play more of their older songs
I'm convinced Matt had made a pact. Which would explain whu he was SO good back then.
WoW ! so beautiful…what talent
"I'm about the flex the fuck out of thousands of people & they have no idea"- matt bellamy probably
"erm, how's it go" has the same vibes as "check out this riff"
i think i like the piano version of this song more than the guitar version, they're both great though
@noggy92
I completely agree with you, when I saw the setlist is was like "oh my god"... it´s a shame they don´t play these older songs... :(
Oh Matt why so talented
theyre playing every song from origin of symmetry from start to finish at reading and leeds festival.
Look at those hands, hands of a true genius
hermozaaaaa simplementeeeeee
BUTTERFLIES AND HURRICANES OMG
soo awesomeeee
just amazing, nothing else to say
How is he even that good at the piano an the guitar at the same
butterflies and hurricanes solo 0:40
S.O.S

there ya go
genieus
man this song is so beatyfull
i changed the lyrics a little and showed it to my GF :)
yes it is that beatyfull...
0:30-1:12 In 2002 it was only a piano thing, but after it beguns Butterflies and Hurricanes :')
Happy Birthday Matt (35 years)
Happy late birthday Matt! (40 years)
anyone else notice the piano is from butterflies and hurricanes which came out on absolution lol
outro has a take a bow sound to it
BRIVIDI
I think this is actually really underrated song, already the viewcount tells that. But, this is so amazing live performance, the chorus is so great! Just saying that this won't be brought back to setlists although it should. The problem with muse is just that they have too much songs they should play live they couldn't fit them all even in three gigs
Love this changed Rachmaninoff in G minor
and sober :(
poca madre !!!!!!
no matt, ur beautiful :)
on my channel there is the remake of the entire song!!!
that bit near the end reminds me of soldiers poem though (after 5:00 ) except this has a fast piano too
The chords do sound a bit like Soldiers Poem
P.S.
Soldiers Poem is from Absolustion
@@guit4rguy no, soldiers poem it's from black holes and revelations
Don't you love them?
The 2002 Tour was their best.
And Megalomania
and Hoodoo!
I wanna play piano like bellamy!!!!!!
I think the intro is from the piano concret in G- by Rackmaninov
El preludio fue inspiración para el puente de Assassin 👀
You have good ears
Rachmaninov's Prelude or this prelude you're learning ? I really wonder if you have the sheets for this intro
This song was written by an alien to another alien ...
0:40 Is it his own composition ? Or it's a Rachmaninoff's number ? Which number is it ?
Prelude 23 op5
If u had it you will understand
seriously though, who likes screenager, i mean i do....
Who can teach me how to play his revision of S. Rachmaninoff's Prelude in G Minor, please?
Why exactly can I not find the studio version of Screenager? I can't find it on youtube, sound cloud, or spotify. I can only find live versions on youtube.
You really should... It's on my 'Muse!' playlist right now. The whole OOS album is on there: as are the others.
This song is written to matt's brain
uhh hows it go....
What is the exact name of the prelude???
Rachmaninov Prelude in G minor. And on Hullabaloo, he precedes this song with the C#m prelude instead which is even better (the proper version anyway).
Оку....есть можно!!!
who needs sheet music?
But mostly no one does
Intro by Sergei Rachmaninov
Oops, sorry, it's Rachmaninov
So dont blame ur self
Hayley williams
It's Rachmaninoff
Azuos Which piece?
@@olivierbuchet-couzy6950 prelude in G minor
why didn't they continue in this character???? this is seriously as good as radiohead!!
George Fotiou that's an exaggeration
@@jrg.navarro ikr, they were better than Radiohead
