I think you'll struggle to use this racket if you're moving from a 1000z. If you're a Nanoflare 700 user, this racket feels like a direct upgrade. I've been a NF700 user for a couple years and I loved that racket (I owned 3 of them). The NF700 is really great as a fast swinging defensive style racket. I loved how easy it was to defend in doubles with that racket. The downside was that it felt a bit soft when smashing. I bought the 800pro as soon as it was released and immediately I felt the extra stiffness and added "bite" when smashing. The defense feeling is identical to the NF700. I also noticed that with backhand pushes I can really direct the shuttle trajectory much easier. This might be due to the extra cross string. I loved it so much I bought 2 more! 4UG6 strung Exbolt65 27lbs.
I play with a nf700, didn’t like the 800 pro that I tried but maybe it was the strings or tension. It felt honestly like the review said, stiff dull, muted, hard to time, hard to generate power on big swing shots. It did feel like it had good snap on short strings on was very quick (quicker than nf700) on those shots because the racket doesn’t lag behind due to a medium flex like the 700. Only place it felt similar was defense honestly
The fact that you are actually a genuine reviewer that points out all the details abt rackets, i watch your reviews on the rackets i want before buying them. I never got a chance to subscribe until now. I love your videos and racket reviews just like this video. Respect man🙌
Thanks for the honest review Nigel. Always been a huge fan of the Nanoflare 800pro but couldn't decide if I need a switch. Your detailed explanation helped a lot, that was pretty good. Keep up the good work! I've entered the giveaway hopefully will get my hands on the new Nanoflare 800pro. Cheers
I like how honest and detailed you are in your reviews. Even if you feel like you’re all over the place, I think every thought is valuable and can answer a question someone might have about the racket. About the intended user, I think the racket is designed for players that use a lot of drives, like Liang/Wang, which is a very niche market.
thanks for the review. It helped me a lot since I switch from headlight, medium stiffness racket (Nanoray 750), and already tested the NF 800, 1000Z, 1000 Tour with the NF1000Z as my favourite. The result was surprising since the stiffness gap is huge. I was wondering if the switch from medium to very stiff was too much and stiff would be better and contemplated testing NF 800 Pro, 800 Tour and 700. Your review was the first that answered questions I had without actually being able to voice them. It made me realise that the difference between the NF 800 Pro and the 1000Z is so much greater than just a reduced stiffness. Many characteristics I liked the best about the 1000Z are missing in the 800 Pro. Long story short, your review finalised my decision and you saved me another round of testing. Thanks :-)
thank you, you are the best reviewer, i bought the 1000z mainly because of you and i am so happy with it, it fit my speed style, previously using 11pro witch is more forgiving, but control is not my strength. 800p look like a weird one, curious to see if any pro is going to use it... If you do video reviews of players let me know i will be interested(paying) cheers
Racket sure seems interesting, I’ve never tried the 800p but my cousin said that 800p felt faster than 1000z. Just entered the giveaway hoping I can try it myself😙
i think this is a solid racket but imo opinion definitely not an upgrade from the nf800. but can be an upgrade from the nf700 (maybe even a racket of its own category). if you enjoy the nf700 but wanted stiffer and more responsive this could be for you. would i use this racket? not really. i came from the astrox 99 pro to this and although i never had problems with such a big change. power i never had much of a problem but that may be from my expectation for this racket. ( it wasnt particularly high despite i enjoyed the nf800) the only problem i had with nf800 pro was netshots. i felt like i never had any support from the racket, i felt like you need to give it "some swing" so if you come from the nf700 this shouldnt be a problem. ( im just spoilt from the astrox 99 pro that im able to use the head weight to its advantage) this racket doesnt suit me as a player. but i can really see this as an option for those coming from the nf700 or even from the astrox 100zx. front court base but decent at the rear court (good if you can make enjoy this hitting feel with this stuff shaft) personally the astrox 88s pro is better suited to me even though and if i would switch between nf 800 pro or the 88s pro. it would definitely the 88s pro. its just easier to use and alot more comfortable to use
"Hey My name is Zed, I've got my eyes set on winning that badminton racket in the upcoming giveaway!, and I'm hoping my luck,, brings home the prize. Fingers crossed!"
what is your opinion about today's mens double world no. 1 using this racket in last three or four months, and racket they use before : astrox 100z, nanoflare 1000z, astrox 77 pro, arcsaber 10 pro ?
It shows an extreme preference for even balance or slightly head heavy rackets.100zz could be argued to be more then slightly head heavy but it’s compact head negates a lot of the “slowness” one might typically feel with something that HH. Also, emphasis on relation
That’s a solution if I were to try and make this racket work. But the point of keeping strings and tensions the same is so I can see the differences in the racket
I’d pick the arc 11 pro over 800p any day. Better balance, easier to use, and the lack of repulsion is understandable as it was designed to maximize shuttle hold.
@@nigeldollentas Ic… I liked the muted feel… felt like I m on higher tension with string such as bg80 and 65ti…. and because it’s muted it has more control and allows use lower tension for easier power generation… only issue I had was control was not as consistent as I prefer it to be… eg: same approximation of similar shots have a larger variance of end result… or as some would say it’s harder to time right
@@imataquito005 very contradictory what you just said. You said u like it’s muted for control but then said there’s more variance , less consistency in your net shots? So then it’s not easier to control
@@nigeldollentas hmm just re-read what I typed… thank you for pointing that out… perhaps I needed to be more specific and explain better…. Both statements are true… net shots are fine due to the muted feel… even with lower tension… placements I am talking about is those hold and sudden flick shots either to the back or simply slices to the sides and sudden fake drops into shooting lobs… they are a lot less consistent in terms of length… other normal control and placement are excellent
@@nigeldollentas Cause right now i’m using an arcsaber 71 light and I feel like that racket lacks power and not on par with my aggressive play style. also I’m planning on buying 11 Pros for power and control.

Hopefully! I haven't used any yonex racquets. Been using BK, Apacs and dunlop.
I see. Well best of luck to you sir!
Try a lower tension around 26 lbs because of the string pattern
great detailed review :D followed the mechanics :D hope to win! :D BTW Happy new year. God bless

yeah, probably. i don't string rackets

Repulsion*
Really good review!! Hopefully i win.
thanks for the review. i hope i win. happy new year!! 🎉
Many reviewers did in fact mention the stiff hitting feeling. Perhaps trying a more repulsive string on a lower tension would be better?
That’s a solution if I were to try and make this racket work. But the point of keeping strings and tensions the same is so I can see the differences in the racket
Exbolt 65 is already repulsive and 28 pounds isn’t too high give my technique and physical abilities so 🤷♀️
Compared to arcsaber 11pro which feels better for you?
Kakasira lang nga 3 year racket. Hoping to win 🎉 Happy New Year guys
Unfortunate. Good luck for you po
Is it too late to ask for a racket 😢

Best of lucks to everyone
Happy new year
Good 1000z review
Thank you!
How is the racquet compared to arcsaber 11 pro?
I’d pick the arc 11 pro over 800p any day. Better balance, easier to use, and the lack of repulsion is understandable as it was designed to maximize shuttle hold.
@@nigeldollentas thank you! Definetly will proceed with the 11 pro purchase then.
@@stephenanthony757 best of luck’ let me know how you enjoy it. Btw I do have an Arcsaber 11 pro review, check my review playlist!
Have you tried lowering the tension as an experiment while reviewing this racquet?
No because that would add additional variance into the review

It’s the length I find harder to control especially in those slicing as well as hold and flick situations
