G Ionian over C then G Phrygian (Eb major third degree) over Eb. I found the Gm7b6 arpeggio sounded pretty cool. Nice backing track. Anyone else got any suggestions?
Why you dont think C Lydian over C and Eb Major over Eb instead of relating your thought into G zone, which is completely unrelated to those chords ? Or you can stay in the C zone, C major/lydian over c, and c aelian, c blues over Eb. I think like this and I think it works easy for me.
@@AsleRoe In terms of pattern its the same. Theoretically its not the same. You start C dorian from C and Eb Lydian from Eb. In terms of accenting it creates another sound
Julian Loef personally I hardly ever start on the root. On Cm, a good starting note is actually Eb. We’re talking apples and oranges here. The notes are the same. You choose which ones to pick according to what follows.
In a pentatonic mood? Bminor pentatonic over C, Dminor pentatonic over Eb.
(Be aware of the #11 that u get :-)
Great track!
It s A minor over C and D minor over Eb , both in aelian

Why does this sound so much like menu muzak for an Amiga 500 sidescroller?
Take EbMaj7 voicing as Gmb6, a chord from C ionian Negative Harmony.
What???
yo just popped that 6 and instantly started banging thx
night and day
True !
C and Eb Lydian or Ionian works
C Lydian (over C Maj 7) to C Dorian (over Eb Maj7) lol try it
Joe Karmazyn C dorian is the same as Eb lydian. So it’s basically just C and Eb lydian scales.

I'd rather play what I feel.
Nice, I like D Mixolydian or E Aeolian over CM7, and G Aeolian or Bb Ionian over EbM7
Am...Bb
