Not necessarily all those changes of scales. If you analise the harmony well, you'll see that everything is mostly f major scale, since am7 is the 3 grade in the major tonality of F major and then we have the 2,5,1 and you could analise that bm7 being as a borrow chord from the minor tonality of f which appear a lot in jazz. Only in the Bm7(b5) E7, Bb7 and the last four measures where is bm7 E7 you cannot use F major scale. The rest is all f indeed. Good practicing !
@@juliansotelo3167 Right. It's a use of modal interchange between the minors in A. So you can use the F scale (A aeolian to be exact) but uses some cadence of the minor mode. Bm7b5 - E7 (b9) is clear borrow from the II-V of a minor (harmonic mode) and resolves on a Am7 instead a Ammaj7. So you can use a chromatic approach (bebop scale) to pass from Ab( maj7) to A. It's easy if you think it as a minor which can change the chords between minors harmonizations (A aeolian, A minor melodic, A minor harmonic) and you think it as "parallels flavors" in A minor sauce. This is a modal interchange.
@@sand69 Yeah! it is funny how you can find ways to solo in a song.'Cause for me, if I think in F with those changes that I said, it's easy for me to improvise.

Not sure about B m7 b5 to E7 in measure 4? I tend to play B min11 to E7b5 - This produces smooth chromatic voice leading between B and E. Also if you just play the colour tones, E is the 4th/11th of B so it's a very suspended harmony which resolves smoothly and easily to E7 with just ONE NOTE (A - Ab)!!!
The Bm7 comes from the Boney M version (I love this chord beeing not m7b5). I don't think E7 is commonly played E7#11. Greg Howe plays E7#5 if I remember well.
@@guitareimprovisation There's lots of slight variations on the harmony.
