Damnnnn. This is really good stuff, why am I just now hearing of them? They make me want to do laps around my apartment and love every minute of it!
Too many good bands out there, not enough hours in the day. That is certainly one of the reasons.
Love Green River!!Much Respect from New Orleans Louisiana...☆ Steph..Opal aka Big Mama ◇
pretty sad that I've known about this band since '87/'88 when I first discovered Sub Pop and am just now listening to them for the very first time. Procrastination is obviously something I am far too good at
Don't feel bad, it's a big world, and it's a real gem to discover new tunes. Never take that for granted, no matter who it is.
Great words @MassiveAttackFan
Well, in my case, I began listening to Grunge with Nirvana since 2012, and now around 2014 I was trying new tunes like this one...
Hahahaha that's me too.
There were so many bands back then it wasn't financially possible to hear all of them. I didn't listen to them until youtube in 08,don't feel bad.
Just Stumbled onto this...Where was I? Damn this is good 👊
absurdly underrated song
Thank you for nudging this record back into the present day. The rock music of this era had a soiled vitality that was lost down the road after the money flooded in and the production budgets got bigger.
They should make one more album and one more tour! this is sick!
Fuck outa here with your cringe ass 666 XD
Baller idea, brother in brisket.
So, this is where grunge began.
Right, Alice in chains.
Pretty much. Check out The Dark Side of the 90's: Grunge and the Seattle sound.
Andrew! Look up Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone!! That's two of Oak jam's founding members before Eddie. Andrew overdosed but all the big Seattle bands day they were inspired. You'll hear where 80s Rock meets grunge and started forming what Seattle is known for!! I was little but had young enough family to expose me.
I'd say Grunge kind of developed out of a local hardcore punk scene which touting bands skipped over (Portland and Seattle) that started expanding their influences
Thought this exact thing when i heard this album first time lol cheers to you
Real grunge
Ha and what the fuck is fake grunge?
@@strangewayfaringstranger Nirvana
to think I missed all this in the 80s. It would have helped my soul alot
Mark in grunge is like Ozzy in Metal or Iggy in Punk!!! Godfathers!!!
green river❤
If you’re here, might as well look up The Fluid as well. >
Yes! & Slow from Vancouver.
Mt bom
Yep
This is the best song I've heard in awhile. Holy shit that vocalist.
EverGREEN RIVER 💚
That's Punk Rock/Grunge !!!!!!
Fuk this is great!
ÓTIMO"
Drive Like Jehu straight ripped this for Bullet Train To Vegas 😮
Lol
Fucking great band!
The song Let me drown by Soundgarden sounds too similar to this song, at least both intros sound alike.
It's called inspiration if not a coincidence
They sound nothing alike lmao
Where can I find this P.C.C and Ozzie on CD? Does anyone know please?
Is this an old record?
very
1986 I believe...33 years old.
It’s an expanded deluxe rerelease, remaster, and remix of the album with sever bonus tracks, including outtakes, demos, and even remasters of the two songs they did for Deep Six with Steve Turner on guitar.
Yes, it is.
Nah it just dropped a year or two ago
Before Nirvana and Pearl Jam it existed some called grunge. But you ain't ready for this conversation...
I bet Nirvana listened to this song when they wrote "School".
Happy Bunny buns day 🎉. Rock out
IMHO...this is still "Punk" music, which did heavily influence grunge and alot of its performers.
Singer sounds allot like Dead boys Stiv Bators.
Mark arm badass singer looks like Iggy Pop sounds like Stiv Bators
Jaysus, now here's a blast from the past! No Green River= no Pearl Jam, no Soundgarden, no Mudhoney... the true Godfathers Of Grunge, along with Melvins... 🙄
I'd say that Hüsker Dü were the godfathers of the grunge style
Pretty sure Soundgarden was born around same time but I think your right GR probably had a little headstart before them. But SG was happening by 85 I think at least. Gonna look it up
@@mrgrey361 A worthy mention indeed! I'd forgot to mention Tad and Dinosaur Jr also...
@@jimdavison5136 I think you're spot on guv; Chris greatly influenced by GR and Andrew Wood though...
@@divinefallfromgrace Andrew Wood 😢
Very Punk x Sabbath ❤
It's good to know there were great grunge bands before Pearl Jam and Nirvana. I do like those bands but I like bands like this better. Where did they all fucking go?
To me this sounds so mudhoney, an influence i suppose
Bruh some people from this band broke up and went to make mudhoney you silly clown
im sure, yea
Same singer....
Black Flag - My War vibes
Esse cara fica escutando Nirvana e acha que conhece Grunge , Green River e Mother Love Bone coloca no bolso mané
Very post punk
It was alt rock until the labels manufactured bands and made grunge
Pearl Jam was definitely better without Eddie Vedder.
Agreed. Green river and MLB were both better than vedder lol see what I did there?
Not that great musically, but definitely innovative stylistically
I don’t give a dam if it’s good musically, this a masterpiece
@@hibros5301 they were def innovative
@@gerryfromthevoid8986 yeah
