8:30 Since he got detoxified while eating those pills he has gotten a level of poison immunity. But since he keeps eating the pills his body/blood is poisonous. It is not a special ability he has really other than no one else would be going around ingesting poison all the time.

The very start of this where Annette is talking to him about being "reborn" to abandon his former life, reminds of the start of the movie The Incredibles where the guy trying to commit suicide sues Mr. Incredible because "He didn't save my life, he ruined my death" lol.

I've read all 40 chapters and what makes this isekai interesting is that the protagonist is very passive, content to collect testimonies and write, leaving the secondary characters to be the heroes of their own story.
The protagonist serves above all as a comic spring, destabilizing the antagonists with his awkward behavior or acting as an impromptu advisor to the characters.
Finally, Truck-kun is canon

I reccomend reading "No longer human" or the new translation "A shameful life" by Dazai. It enhances the anime experience.
I can't believe my fav author is animated, maybe it's because real live dazai is founded dead at his birthday, 19 June. His novel words are all depressing, he also did double suicide with 3 womens (i only remember there is 3, maybe more)
