Matt here is a story about a college athlete that should be explored. David Hodge was All American as Sophmore at University of Houston. He is in the Texas Collegiate Hall of Fame and had an amazing game in the Cotton Bowl. He left the team for reasons he never discussed and never played again. I played with him in high school. He has never told any of us why he left when he definately had an NFL job ahead of him
Matt, as a VFL, I’d love to see your video on Inky Johnson. Dude was another 1st rounder for TN who’s life took a turn just before the NFL. He’s an AMAZING person
Hi I’m from Aransas pass the little town he was born and raised in! From what I know he was unfortunately drugged with a laced blunt that had embalming fluid. Now he just lives a simple life walking around the same streets he was born in. Hope it helps with anyone still wondering.
Come down to aransas pass, just saw him the other day. It was rough the first couple years after his college years, right now he is doing a lot better.
You don't get depressed about anything. You get depressed due to changes in your brain chemistry. I once told a co worker I was depressed. She said " cheer up, you don't have anything to be depressed about". I said, " I'm not sad. I'm depressed".
Thank you!!! Someone needed to cover this story. This couldn't have been easy to research but this story is definitely one that needed to be told. Thank you again
And this is why this community is so GREAT. Knowledgeable, love for the game, teams and players while showing pride in our own personal teams. Great story and would of never known without this community.
Matt... i can tell you what happened. Tommy was one of my best friends growing up. Put it plan and simple, a death in his family theu his family for a whirlwind. He lost the most important family member in his family and he struggled with that, as many do. His rock was gone and he lost site of his path.
Hopefully he's doing ok these days. I've thought about him through the years and what a phenomenal player he was. His story is so untold and so sad. I'd hate to see his accomplishments go unnoticed.
Was arrested doing the same thing Michael vick did and was released by the ravens shortly after arrest..correction he wasnt doing what vick did he was just abusing his dog
Brother, I am a horned frog thru and thru but I really don't remember this guy and this was at the time that was looking at schools to go to after highschool one of which was TCU where I ultimately ended up but I do not remember this guy it kinda makes me feel bad
Derrick Green 5 ⭐️ RB from Richmond who Committed to Michigan I believe it was 2013 when he committed dude was a bust but idk how it all unraveled for him
Wow, that is weird but it is also very sad. A young man, Dad probably wasn't in his life, and he didn't know how to handle all the new found "real stardom". Plus Matt, if he already had any tendencies at all with depression or anxiety all the new "stardom" could have made these problems intensify. I hope he is doing good and got some help and is living a nice life. Thanks for the story Matt, very interesting!! ROLL TIDE!!
Yo Matt, You can take my word for it, but I heard he is homeless in Aransas Pass from a reliable source that I know. It’s a shame to see such talent from the Coastal Bend area to go to waste.
Brain damage aka CTE if you ask me but hey I’m not a detective or doctor but it sounds like he’s lost he’s actual mind I feel bad no one kept checking up on him
If football players had that shit as much as yall think we'd never have had any presidents, ceo's, broadcasters, coaches, mentors, etc...maybe he was just a nut ass nigga

We really don’t have the right to know what happened with him. When people want to be left alone, they should be left alone.

Some people just can’t handle the pressure. And I just think that’s what it was
Depression isn't the same as being depressed medically Matt.
You should change medical schools.

Talk about Diamond Stone he really fell off because of his motor and mentality
Depression is not sadness. That’s a very ignorant statement.
What happened to TJ Rahming
Blake Sims next
Yo Matt,
You can take my word for it, but I heard he is homeless in Aransas Pass from a reliable source that I know. It’s a shame to see such talent from the Coastal Bend area to go to waste.
