Thank you for posting this tutorial. I have the ruler, but didn’t know how to use it. I saw some quilts in a quilt shop and when I asked if there were patterns for the sample quilts, they showed me your books. I bought two of your books and now I can start using your ruler and techniques! I’m going to make a series of red and white quilts and I’m excited to use your techniques to make endless options and designs!!

I have had my Square in a square ruler for years and it has imitated me so it has been sitting on the shelf now that I see how to use it I'm going to begin using it today

But if you cut so close to the corner do you not loose the point when you sew the squares together?
Nope. It’s perfect. The way it should be. If you don’t. You will have snub nose. Think it out.

I am new to this system. I was wondering about the bias edges. It seem all the outside edges are bias.(e.g.flying geese) Does that become a problem?
Welcome to Square in a Square! It has not been a problem in 30+ years. Once you get into the system you will be amazed.
