    Amazing, I really love the design and detail, I have an Iron one with two leaf motif, similar design but it's modern made by a handmade shop , many thanks for sharing such a beauty.

    Beautiful work Ford. I love the pebbled finish on the ferns. So consistent it almost looks sand blasted. ✌ 😃

    Sir , May I ask if is it possible to make a tsuba and the other fittings from a solid pure silver? I've tried and searched the web for silver tsuba and fittings to get some ideas but never found any .

      pure silver too soft

      Some antique work is in fact fine/pure silver but as Sheepdog9 suggests it's very soft so not really all that practical in today's world. Old Japan's upper classes and wealthy merchants were far more sophisticated and gentle with their wearable art than we tend to be today.

      Thank you for your kind comments. Ford does in fact practice shodo, and has does so since he first visited his Sensei in Tokyo over 30 years ago.
