@@kingslayer994 i don’t remember exact name because I searched for it in Pinterest as outline brush in procreate And I think I found set in 5$ or something and at the time I couldn’t buy it 💔 Hope this help you
Thank you for such a detailed tutorial on how to make this! It's helped out quite a bit trying to figure out fonts and even creating even double lines for details. Much appreciated!
The easiest way to do this would be to give your background a color so you can see your outlines. Make a new layer for the outlines above your background layer. Get white for the color and create your lettering or shape. Then get black for the color and drag from the color swatch inside of your outlines to fill them. I hope this helps!
Thanks for the great video. It was so easy to follow. When I enlarge the brush size it becomes very evident that the ends of my line are blurry. I’m sure that it’s a setting that’s wrong, but I’m not sure how to fix it. Can anyone suggest a fix?
Make sure that the Brush opacity slider on the side of the screen is set to 100%. As far as the brush settings, I’m not sure why the ends of the line would be blurry if the original Monoline brush was duplicated. You could try duplicating the original Monoline brush twice again to make sure all of the settings are the same.
I’m glad it helped! There is a way to make an outline brush with a shadow, however, you’d have to create your own custom shapes for the brush. If you’d like to add a shadow to something you’ve drawn with the outline brush, after using the brush, choose a color or white and drag from the color swatch inside of the outlines to make them have a fill. There are a few ways to create a shadow. One way is to duplicate the outlines layer and move it underneath the original layer. Tap on the Adjustments button and tap Hue, Saturation, Brightness. Reduce the Brightness slider to None to make the shadow black. Then tap on the Adjustments button again and tap Gaussian Blur. Increase the blur just slightly. Then tap on the arrow and move the shadow down and to the right or left. You can reduce the shadow’s opacity by tapping on the N on the shadow layer and reducing the Opacity slider.
Maple Tree Makery thank you much for your explanations! I’ll keep learning to try to do the custom shapes to create an outline brush with a shadow. Also really liked how you explained it all in the video and when you wrote the reply. I really appreciate!
In Procreate 5 if you have two brushes selected they should both appear blue and the Combine button should appear at the top right corner of the Brush Library. To select two brushes, tap the primary brush and then swipe right on the secondary brush. Make sure you’re combining two custom brushes, the two duplicated Monoline brushes, and not the original Monoline brush.
when i select the automatic option the screen goes blue and the line goes red not like on yours it seems to be inverted in some way? and then i press save and load and its just a blank white screen???
The Automatic Selection can be difficult. Make sure you’re on the right layer, zoom in, and then tap just inside of the outlines and not the outlines themselves. The lines may be red if they’re selected depending on the color you used for your outlines. If the screen turns blue and the lines themselves are selected, it might be that your Selection Threshold is too high. To reduce the Selection Threshold, tap, hold, and move your Apple Pencil to the left. Move it until just the inside of the outlines are selected. If you’ve reduced the Selection Threshold all the way and the whole canvas is still selected, tap Clear at the bottom of the screen and try tapping inside of the outlines again. Once just the inside of the outlines are selected, you may need to increase your Selection Threshold as needed by tapping inside of the outlines and moving your Apple Pencil to the right slightly. If it’s selected correctly and you tap Save & Load you should see a black box with the white shape inside of it in the Selections box.
Make sure to duplicate the default Monoline brush twice so that there are two duplicated brushes and then combine the two duplicated brushes. Hopefully this helps!
This is VERY useful! I didn't even know that Procreate had the ability to combine brushes until now!

I made this brush on an iPad Pro using Procreate 5. I’m not sure if you can combine brushes using Procreate Pocket.
Maple Tree Makery ok, thanks for answering me tho...
Can someone please tell me how to do this in clip studio paint!!!😭 Please
Guys can someone help me with this problem
When I try to press combine it says “duplicate default brushes to combine” but I already duplicated it
Make sure to duplicate the default Monoline brush twice so that there are two duplicated brushes and then combine the two duplicated brushes. Hopefully this helps!
It only works on my phone not my iPad 😩
My brush won’t change sizes when I use the slider 😭
I want to try to do it how can I do it but on a phone bc on the phone is dosent say combine
For this tutorial I used Procreate 5. I don't think you can combine brushes in Procreate Pocket.
Maple Tree Makery well ok thanks for helping✨💕
For some reason when I put the size bigger the outline becomes tiny?
Anyone else having this problem?
is this possible on the app’s phone version?
